Water-Powered Dragster Can Reach Speeds Of More Than 160 Miles Per Hour

Wacky inventor Francois Gissy has taken bottle rockets to the next level, by propelling his trike-cum-dragster to speeds of more than 160 miles per hour on water propulsion. Gissy managed to achieve a whopping 162 mph on his homemade water-powered trike, going from 0 to 100 in 0.55 second. We wanna see Rihanna make a song about that! The 35-year-old French daredevil launched his water-propelled rocket on July 14 this year, after talking about his plans for launch his 2009. The stunt was performed at Circuit Paul Ricard in Le Castellet, France, where he was the first person in the world to ride high-performance, cold-water rocket dragster. The ride needed to be refilled with collected rainwater 76 times. The brother of two physics teachers said: “Water rockets are very easy and popular. It is an entertaining means to get the attention of schoolboys and explain to them the basics of rocket propulsion and Newton’s laws. “In case of the trike, it is water that is contained in a tank, under pressure of compressed air. Exactly like the water rockets at school, using soda bottles and compressed air, only much bigger.” There have been a number of “super-heated” dragsters in the past, that have been powered by hot water, Francois said. But these cannot be directly compared to the Frenchman’s invention, which used much colder rainwater.

Going through the automatic car wash can be a very terrifying experience, especially if you are under the age of two! Little 18-month-old Luke Parr was struck with dread, when mom’s car descended into darkness and loud noise in the machine. Water was splashing and brushes were swooping around him, as the boy watched the whole thing go down with terror across his face. It made him scream and cry, because he is tied to his car seat and he can’t hide anywhere. Thankfully., big brother James was right there with him. With a little encouragement from the 3-year-old, Luke managed to loosen up, relax in his seat and enjoy the experience, even though a storm of baby human emotions was rushing over him. He did save his biggest, beaming smile for last, when the car finally exited into the sunlight. Mom Devin, who recorded the whole thing, says that James, too, was crying when he went through his first ride at the auto car wash. Now a veteran, he was able to comfort his baby brother for the whole two minutes that wash took place. The support you get from a sibling cannot be compared with anything in the whole white world and this little girl has felt it first hand. The adorable baby freaked out at the auto wash, but lucky for her, big brother Declan was right there to tell her she has nothing to fear and it will soon pass.
