Nebraska police surveyed extensive flooding throughout the city of Bellevue on Tuesday, March 19, streaming live as they travelled through the area by boat. “Historic” flooding in Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri, and South Dakota has destroyed hundreds of homes, isolated towns and killed at least three people, as levees along the Missouri River and other nearby waterways failed to cope with the inundation, according to reports. Pence said he visited a relief shelter at Elkhorn Middle School and thanked military personnel and volunteers for helping those impacted.
