We call this place Gnarnia, a work in progress for the past couple years, and we will continue to work on this place in the future as well! Just before the B.C. parks were getting closed, and Burke Mtn is in one of them, I went on a ride with BC POV, Van Girl Yuka and Jason of Berm Unit! This is my first time at Burke Mountain and I was really stoked on the trails there! I took out my Diamondback Sync'r hardtail and even though some trails were steep and rough, it worked out really well! I really love the Woodlot and I went up there mid March with some guys, turns out we got a whole crew of people joining us as well lol! By the end of this ride, I unfortunately crashed into a tree and it was worse than I thought it would have been. I am getting better now thankfully. 5th Horseman is an old school double black janky gnar trail! I quite like it, and in this video we are riding a number of sick DH trails on Cypress mountain! i don't know about you but I think Cypress mtn is the most underrated mountain on the north shore. I hope you enjoyed your January! I had a nice time getting to relax a bit more. I went to the Coast Gravity Bike Park and it was running surprisingly well! Everything was totally rideable, just a little damp but no problem for sending the jumps. We worked our way up to Coastal Cruise the flagship double black jump trail, and it was easily our favorite trail there! I know I am about 5 years late to the party, but this is the first chance I ever had to really try a wheelsize comparison! The mtb industry has been weeding out 26", but is it justified? I did a couple different runs down A-Line with the 26" wheels and then with the 27.5" wheels. I started off with a fun run where I didn't pedal much and just had fun on it, I tried my best to match the runs so they would run the same. I've been wanting to do this for a little while now, I always love my 26" wheels and thought it shouldn't be too hard to stick them on my 27.5 Skypilot! These wheels lowered my bottom bracket by 12mm which was noticable only on the gnarly tech trails, but worked perfectly fine on the smoother trails!
