Texas State Rep. Charlie Geren has become the poster child for "Republicans In Name Only!" First he killed the GOP Legislative Priority #5, to ban Democrat Committee Chairs by playing procedural games against Conservative Bryan Slaton who was attempting to fulfill it. Then he then demonstrated his intent to kill another; a ban on gender modification of Children, by making it clear to a man posing as a father who was transitioning his five year old boy to a girl that such a decision "was between a parent and the Lord." In other words, removing the genitals of a minor child is not, according to Geren, child abuse. Geren, and many like him currently serving in the Texas State House of Representatives, is one of the best reasons that Texas should have term limits and why Republican Primary voters should take a closer look at candidates, especially incumbents, who campaign as strong conservative republicans but who legislate like Democrats.

As expected, House Speaker Dade Phelan and State Rep. Charle Geren block every effort by Conservative Representatives Bryan Slaton & Tony Tenderholt to follow through on the fifth of just eight Party platform planks that Texas Republican Delegates voted in June to set as this session's legislative priorities. Phelan and Geren are just the tip of the iceberg of lawmakers who are thumbing their noses at Texas Republicans that worked to get them elected.

Texas House Democrats have made their intentions clear that they plan another great escape in order to stop a quorum and prevent the legislature from voting on bills they do not like and can not stop. The debate leaves little to the imagination as black & WOKE members prepare to pull out the race card...it's just Texas Democrat politics as usual.

The 88th Texas Legislative Session is "open for business" today, which begs the question as to how our Republican majority will govern?!? How will legislators steward our massive budget surplus; give it back to taxpayers or find new government programs to fund? It's time for some straight talk!

Conservatives are taking the lead to ensure that the GOP Legislative Priorities selected by delegates to the Republican Party of Texas are first in line for approval, though for some, it's not soon enough.

The race for house speaker in both the US & Texas State House are both very similar AND VERY different. Regardless, the GOP base is left out in the cold.
