Context: The principal of a Southern California elementary school has died after jumping from a parking structure at Disneyland, according to officials. Christopher Christensen, 51, died Saturday. According to Anaheim Police, a call came in just before 9 p.m. to a parking structure at Disneyland. When officers arrived, they found a man dead. Sunday, the Orange County Coroner confirmed that man was Christensen. According to officials, Christensen's death was a suicide. Christensen was the principal at William T. Newland Elementary School in Huntington Beach, beginning this school year. He served a total of 22 years working as part of the Fountain Valley School District, including as the principal of Roch Courreges Elementary, Fulton Middle School and the since-closed Moiola K-8 School. "Mr. Christensen has been a respected leader in FVSD for over 20 years," Fountain Valley Superintendent Katherine Stopp said in an email to the school community. "His contributions to this community are immeasurable. He was a father, husband, brother, and friend to so many. His passing leaves us devastated and heartbroken." The district said that it will also be providing counselors and mental health professionals at all campuses throughout the district who are struggling with the loss. In a post on his Facebook page, Christensen wrote that he had been put on administrative leave from his position after a recent argument with his wife "landed me in jail that night." Christensen was facing charges of child endangerment and battery, to which he pleaded not guilty. He was due in court on Monday. Investigators say the boy had unlocked the gun box in his mother’s bedroom and went to the basement, where she was doing laundry. Despite initially claiming that he was “twirling the gun around” and it accidentally went off, he later admitted to his maternal aunt, Sharhonda Reid, that he assumed a “‘shooting stance’” and aimed the gun at his mom. Quiana Mann’s last words were reportedly, “Why do you have that? Put that down.” She was fatally shot in the face approximately three feet away from her, according to detectives. Immediately after the killing, computer records show the boy accessed his mother’s Amazon account and purchased the headset. Before the boy told allegedly confessed to his aunt, and the shooting was still being treated as an accident, Reid took her nephew to see his grandmother. “Upon arrival, when [the boy] saw his grandmother crying, he stated without any empathy or compassion: ‘I’m really sorry for what happened. I’m sorry for killing my mom,’” the criminal complaint says. “After apologizing for killing his mother, asked if his Amazon package arrived.” The boy later altered his story and the family called the police. The former power couple had been married for more than six years, tying the knot on May 24, 2014 — after they first began dating in April 2012 — before Kim filed for divorce from the “Stronger” rapper in February 2021, citing “irreconcilable differences.” But some matters regarding the divorce were left unresolved… until now. According to the final settlement obtained by HollywoodLife, Kim and Kanye will get joint custody with “equal access” to their 4 children — daughters North, 9, and Chicago, 4, and sons Saint, 6, and Psalm, 3. Furthermore, Kanye will pay Kim $200,000 a month in child support. He’s also responsible for 50% of their kids’ educational expenses, including tuition. He’s also responsible for 50% of their children’s security expenses. And if there’s ever a dispute regarding the kids, Kim and Kanye agree they will participate in mediation, according to TMZ. If one of them fails to participate, the other gets to make the decision in a dispute by default. There won’t be any spousal support, since they both waived that in the prenup, which also guided them on how to divide their assets. Per the docs, both parties agreed to each pay one half of the children’s private school tuition and private security, as well as any mutually agreed upon tutoring. Uninsured medical and dental costs will also be split evenly, with Kim maintaining and paying for the insurance policy on the children. The judgment also stipulated that both parents are welcome to attend extracurricular activities, regardless of whose parent time the activity falls on, and the parties must both agree on any enrollment in private or public school, as well as any mental health services. Kim retains sole ownership over her personal effects, including clothing, furs, watches, handbags, and jewelry, while Kanye will keep his musical equipment, artwork, and studio equipment. Kim will keep her intellectual property, as well as all “interests” and “tangible and intangible assets” in her companies, including multiple branches of KKW. Context: Mexican authorities are pursuing their case against an American suspected of killing her friend at a luxury resort. They're looking to extradite the woman to face charges. There is potential legal limbo as Mexican prosecutors seek to extradite an acquaintance of Shanquella Robinson, the woman found dead while vacationing in Mexico. Authorities are not currently naming her, but said she is a "direct aggressor" against the 25-year old, after video online -- which is too violent to show -- reveals Robinson assaulted in her hotel room. "What makes this uncommon is the Mexican government asking that a U.S. citizen be extradited," said ABC legal analyst, Dan Abrams. Mexican authorities issued an arrest warrant for that acquaintance, who is now back in America, for the crime of "femicide," which is the act of killing a woman based on her gender. "On the one hand, the U.S. government is going to take this seriously, and on the other hand, it's not obligated to turn her over," Abrams said. On October 29, local police reports state that a Baja Resort Town guest told medical staff around 2 p.m. that Robinson had "drunk a lot of alcohol." A doctor determining she was stable but dehydrated, adding Robinson's acquaintances refused to send her to the hospital. The police report said the Charlotte native went into cardiac arrest and was declared dead by 6 p.m. However, an autopsy differs from that report, stating medical officials arrived before 3 p.m., quickly declaring Robinson dead from "severe spinal cord injury" and a dislocated neck. Now, Robinson's family wants answers. "I'm just waiting on that day when someone can be arrested. That's all I'm waiting on," said Robinson's mother, Sallamondra. Mexican prosecutors said Thursday they have filed charges against a U.S. woman on suspicion of killing another American seen being beaten in a viral video. Prosecutors in the state of Baja California Sur did not name the suspect in the Oct. 29 death of Shanquella Robinson. But they said they have approached Mexican federal prosecutors and diplomats to try to get the woman extradited to face charges in Mexico. Robinson's death at a resort development in the Baja resort town of San Jose del Cabo shocked people in both countries. The video raised suspicions that Robinson may have died at the hands of people she was travelling with. Local prosecutor Antonio López Rodríguez said the case was being treated as a potential homicide and an arrest warrant had been issued for the suspect. However, the group Robinson was travelling with left Mexico after she was found dead in a rented villa. State prosecutor Daniel de la Rosa Anaya said the suspect was also an American, but did not identify her. The FBI confirmed to CBS News Tuesday that it had also opened an investigation into Robinson's death. A video apparently taped at the luxury villa in San Jose del Cabo shows one woman, apparently an American, beating another woman identified as Robinson. The video has been reposted many times on social media sites. In it, a man with an American accent can be heard saying "Can you at least fight back?" The man did not appear to intervene in the beating. The video raised questions about why nobody intervened in the purported beating, or why people she was traveling with would have beaten her. Shanquella's mother, Salamondra Robinson, told CBS News in an interview last week that she was initially told by Shanquella's friends that Shanquella had gotten sick with alcohol poisoning. But later on, Salamondra learned there was a fight, and an autopsy found she had injuries to her spinal cord and neck. The autopsy showed that "her death had nothing to do with alcohol," Salamondra said.
