2020-12-18 Jupiter and Saturn conjunction 04
After over a week of cloudy skies and silly mistakes, I was happy to see a clear sky. The crescent moon was a welcome but already too bright.
The exposure times started with 1/100 second and gradually increased to 1 second to show the stars.
In the second part there was a sudden jitter (had to change battery) and sudden increase in brightness (8 seconds) so the moon looked like the sun. I should have made the change more gradual.

2020-12-15 Cloudy evening [4K]
After waiting for clearer skies since 12th December, the sky got clearer during the day.....but still could not see the bright planets. The latest forecast says 19th Dec.... In the mean time, I hope someone has better weather elsewhere.
In fact on 16th December the sky was okay, only that I made a silly mistake and could only capture 7 frames.

Many of the source jpg files were corrupted so this video is quite unsatisfying.
I am posting it simply asking for help!!
If you have access to (usually expensive) tools to repair corrupt jpg files, please leave a comment or send me a message. I did a search for free tools but could only find demo versions.

Part of a series leading up to its climax on 2020-12-21. The brighter star near the tree on the left is Jupiter, the one on the right is Saturn (the ringed planet).
