A set of leaks has surfaced on a forum called MMO Champion that alleges a future shutdown for Blizzard, and a subsequent transformation for both Blizzard and Activision into a new company "Activision Insight". Mods (at least for PC gaming) have become a foundational aspect of gaming for tens of millions of people. The community organized and creatively sourced projects are capable of redefining and totally transforming many games... but the agency of these modders is now being called into question. What code, is "your" code. If that code is used as a building block for further creation, when does it cease to be "yours" and when is its longevity prioritized above your rights as the creator, to remove it.
