Best Places to Visit in Mount Abu | Mount Abu in Rajasthan | Incredible India
Mount Abu is a hill station in western India’s Rajasthan state, near the Gujarat border. Set on a high rocky plateau in the Aravalli Range and surrounded by forest, it offers a relatively cool climate and views over the arid plains below. In the center of town, Nakki Lake is a popular spot for boating. Close by are the centuries-old Dilwara Temples, ornately carved from white marble and of great spiritual importance.

HAJO
Some thirty-two kilometres to the north-west of Guwahati across the river Brahmaputra is placed name HAJO. It is one of the most interresting places in Assam and perhapes the only place in the state where one may find shrines and Temples dedicated to Vishnu, Siva, Durga, The Buddha and a Muslim saint. Hajo was under the rule of different royal powers form early peroid of history to the late medievel period. It was an important seat of rule of three poerful royal camps of medievel Assam. i.e., the Koches, Mughals and the Ahoms. The religious and political iomportance of hajo brought people belonging to various and even conflicting faiths together so as to built up a magnificent social-cultural heritage in the area.
The name and boundaries of Hajo hajo have changed in different periods of history. The place was known by various names, such as, Apunarbhava, Vishnupuskara, Manikutagram, Sujabad and Hajo. In the early assamese literature we have found mention of the name Hajo from the 15th century A.D. There are more than one explanations regarding the origin of the name. It was in all probability, given after the name of Haj or Hajo, A Mech king who had build his capital here in the early medievel period. In the Kalika Purana (10th-11th century A.D) we get an idea of boundaries of Hajo for the first time. The Purana states that Hajo was bounded by the river Lauhitya in the east ans south. River varnasa was snaking its course through the northern boundary while the Lahutya sea was situated to the western boundary of it.
The population structure of Hajo may be devided mainly into two religious groups - Hindu and Muslim. The Hindu include a number of caste and communities. i.e., Brahmin, Kalita, Koch, Kaivarta, Namasudra etc. The Muslims are devided into two communities, Viz, Fakir or Garia and Maria. Almost all the people of Hajo were one time the ritual functionaries and officers attached to the shrines and temples here.

Manipur || India || Manipur Tourism || Most Wonderful Tourist Place in India
Manipur is a state in Northeast India, with the city of Imphal as its capital. It is bounded by the Indian states of Nagaland to the north, Mizoram to the south and Assam to the west. It also borders two regions of Myanmar, Sagaing Region to the east and Chin State to the south. The state covers an area of 22,327 square kilometres (8,621 sq mi). Meitei language (officially known as Manipuri language) is the most widely spoken language and is also the official language of the state, spoken natively by the Meiteis and as a lingua franca by the Nagas, Kukis, Zomis and other smaller communities, who speak a variety of Sino-Tibetan languages. Manipur has been at the crossroads of Asian economic and cultural exchange for more than 2,500 years. It connects the Indian subcontinent and Central Asia to Southeast Asia, East Asia, Siberia, regions in the Arctic, Micronesia and Polynesia enabling migration of people, cultures and religions.
During the days of the British Indian Empire, the Kingdom of Manipur was one of the princely states.[20] Between 1917 and 1939, some people of Manipur pressed the princely rulers for democracy. By the late 1930s, the princely state of Manipur negotiated with the British administration its preference to continue to be part of the Indian Empire, rather than part of Burma, which was being separated from India. These negotiations were cut short with the outbreak of World War II in 1939. On 11 August 1947, Maharaja Budhachandra signed an Instrument of Accession, joining India. Later, on 21 September 1949, he signed a Merger Agreement, merging the kingdom into India, which led to its becoming a Part C State. This merger was later disputed by groups in Manipur, as having been completed without consensus and under duress. The dispute and differing visions for the future has resulted in a 50-year insurgency in the state for independence from India, as well as in repeated episodes of violence among ethnic groups in the state. From 2009 through 2018, the conflict was responsible for the violent deaths of over 1000 people.
The Meitei[28] represents around 53% of the population of Manipur state, followed by various Naga tribes at 24% and various Kuki/Zomi tribes at 16%.[29] The main language of the state is Meiteilon (also known as Manipuri). Tribals constitute about 41% of the state population and have dialects and cultures that are often village-based. Manipur's ethnic groups practice a variety of religions. According to 2011 census, Hinduism is the major religion in the state, closely followed by Christianity. Other religions include Islam, Sanamahism, Buddhism, and Judaism, etc.
Manipur has primarily an agrarian economy, with significant hydroelectric power generation potential. It is connected to other areas by daily flights through Imphal airport, the second largest in northeastern India.[32] Manipur is home to many sports and the origin of Manipuri dance,[33] and is credited with introducing polo to Europeans.

Tonglon caves of Singngat sub-division are the most famous caves of Churachandpur. They are regarded as one of the best cultural and historical highlights of the town. The carvings and sculptures present at these caves give one a good insight of the early settlements. The scripts and engravings found here helped many historians to understand about the past of Manipur.

Chabimura (Devtamura), Tripura - Lesser known boat ride in Gomti River | Offbeat and Untold
Chabimura is a rare combination of history, nature and adventure. Located in the Devtamura Hills, this heritage destination in Tripura is mysterious and enigmatic.
How to reach Chabimura?
Chabimura is located in Amarpur subdivision, about 36 km from Udaipur town. The approach to Chabimura is through a village road through Deb Bari. We took a car from Udaipur and travelled through the rough village roads and finally reached Chabimura.
The place from where you can get the boat ride is known as Rangamati.
Chabimura is known for rock carvings on vertical mountain faces.
Chabimura has no specific history, not even any legends and myths. Located deep in the forest, there are a few rock-cut panels of Hindu pantheons. These are carved out at the steep rocky face of the cliff that descends directly in the river bed some 150 feet below. This place seems to be just in middle of nowhere.
There are a total of 4 panels of rock-cut sculptures on the mountain walls. We had to take a boat ride to see these rock panels on the mountain faces. The first panel that we noticed on start of our journey is the panel consisting of the images of Panchadevata.
There is another smaller panel showing a procession of a queen in palanquin followed by several persons. This group consists of 37 male and female figures along with their leader. The group seems to be engaged in music and dance and holding various musical instruments.
After a weird bend in the river course, there is a cave on the left side. Jamatia legend has it that King Chichingfa had stashed all his treasures in large wooden chests inside the cave. The treasure is guarded by a gigantic python. There is a waterfall inside the cave and tourists can visit only up to that point. We could not go all the way as it started raining! Our bad luck!
Finally after some time we came across the main attraction – the colossal 13-m high image of Goddess Durga, locally known as Devi Chakrama. She has ten hands. Her right leg is firmly placed of the buffalo demon Mahisasur, while the left leg rests on the back of the lion. The hair of the Goddess is replaced by a number of snakes erecting from her head. We were simply awestruck seeing the huge image of the Devi.
The boat ride through the Gomti River itself is quite thrilling. It feels as if you are cruising through dense rainforest. There is an eerie feeling and since it was almost dusk by the time we returned, the strange feeling was all the more.
Chabimura is being developed as an ecotourism destination. There are a few cottages run by a self help group, but you cannot stay there for night. So basically you cannot stay at Chabimura. The nearest place to stay is Amarpur where there are a couple of hotels. Or else, you can stay at Udaipur.
Cottages at Chabimura can be rented between 9 AM to 5 PM
Rent for cottages: Rs200.00 per hour per cottage
Guide charges: Rs100.00 per hour
Boat charge: Rs150.00 per head.
