Revealing Audio From Meade 46-1 School Board Meeting
A January 2024 meeting seemed to reveal the true posture of the school board towards parents who show up, question, and express their true feelings about the quality of education and management their school district receives. It seemed to ruffle some feathers of certain school board members.

Is the SD RINO Establishment Finally Revealing Their Full & True Agenda?
It seems as if the SD establishment is panicking right now and shoving through bills that give them more control and strips those at the county level of the power they rightfully and legally hold. It seems like the Establishment wants a completely centralized government to where they have full control over how the state is managed and our elections are done, stripping us of our voice and abilities to make a difference at the local levels. This is seen through how they "hoghoused" HB 1140 which would ban hand counting ballots and local county commission authority to hold elections like they want, as well as SB 201 which takes power away from counties yet again to protect themselves from the carbon pipeline land grab.

Marijuana Drama: Butte County
As I finish up my "housekeeping" projects of moving content off of FB on to Rumble, we're taking a look at the saga of the Butte County commission's approach to their cannabis ordinance. SO much happened during the last couple of years that it would take an entire video series to cover it. Hopefully this one video from my perspective will help people get an idea of what happened.
All I can say is: here's this info I'm sharing with you and you do what you want with it! Please use your critical thinking skills, dig into things and form your own educated opinion about it.

Comparing Counties: Marijuana Ordinances
Come down the rabbit hole with me while I compare Butte County's cannabis ordinance to Minnehaha's ordinance in order to see the difference between a county that didn't want marijuana versus a county commission that seemed to want it in Butte as much as possible.

Commissioners Believe Their ES&S Tabulating Machine is More Trustworthy Than Hand Counting
The Butte County Commission discussed election integrity at a recent meeting (February 2024). It seems like they're wanting to use it for the 2024 election rather than hand count ballots, despite residents showing them findings of these machines' abilities to be hacked in other states and counties during the 2022 election.

SD Legislature Sees Nothing but Potential in Shelterbelts
Today we look at a senate bill that passed the House and Senate that would tax the potential production ability of shelterbelts. It's the same thing they already do with cropland: they tax cropland based on its "potential" amount of production rather than what it actually produces. Sound like a racket to you?

The Real Meaning Behind The Separation of Church & State
In a day and age where we believe the term "separation of church and state" means Christian beliefs need to stay out of politics, Darrel Vig, Tom Brunner and Bill Kluck discuss the history behind it and what it actually means...the answer just might surprise you!

News That Caught My Attention: Lt. Gov's Son/Oversight of Ec. Dev $$/SDPB Podcast on Ravnsborg?
I came across interesting Dakota Scout news articles today that caught my attention and wanted to share with all of you!
-The Lt. Governor's son is the new SD GOP Executive Director (Uh..nepotism, anyone?)
-The bill to allow more oversight and accountability for how the money from the governor's office of economic development was resurrected....
-The SDPB is funding a podcast about the "Ravnsborg Saga" ...will it be objective or is it just another twist to make Ravnsborg look bad to keep the government's preferred narrative alive?

My chat with the BH Pioneer Editor from 9/2023
Last year, the BH Pioneer wrote articles and opinion pieces that framed Butte County citizens to be unruly, wild and crazy rednecks, while they also wouldn't write about the behavior exhibited by the Butte County commission towards concerned taxpayers. When we'd request for an interview or chance to comment in order to share our side, we were denied. when I submitted a letter to the editor, the editor then wouldn't allow me to include my social media sites so people could get our side that way. My impression with this phone call was his attempt to continue to make us look bad and try to show he has all the right to say and print whatever he wants in this newspaper. IMO, this newspaper is no better than the junk put out by CNN.

STUNNING: SD Republicans Grow Spines & Vote to Stop Funding Blogger Who Makes Fun of Republicans
As one former legislator put it, "No one is afraid of flies, but when they get annoying, you grab a fly-swatter and get rid of them!" February 2024 will go down in the history books as possibly the moment in time Republicans began to stand up for themselves when it comes to bullies. After decades of the GOP having a reputation of being weak and spineless, the SD GOP amazed all by voting to cut all contractual ties with Pat Powers, the blogger who, allegedly, would only write positively about those Republicans who purchased advertising on his blog or campaign materials from his campaign store.

Does the Meade 46-1 School Board New Recording Policies Violate State Law?
We recorded the public comment portion of the Meade 46-1 school board meeting in December according to State Law. At the next meeting in January, the school board chair read some new policies they didn't read at the previous meeting. We're not sure, but it sounds like they could be flirting with violating state law 1-25-11. Recording of open official meeting to be permitted.
"No public body may prevent a person from recording, through audio or video technology, an official meeting as long as the recording is reasonable, obvious, and not disruptive. This section does not apply to meetings closed to the public pursuant to specific law."
We don't see anywhere in that law where they can use the reasoning they listed as a means to not allow and also remove a person who is recording their meetings. Do you?
