Battle of The Techs
Engine Assembly Competition:
Battle of the tech’s was a timed competition to assemble an automobile engine correctly and at the end of the build it had to start up.
Building an Automobile Engine overview.
The automobile combustion engine is one of the most critical components in any vehicle, and building one requires precision and skill.
The first step in building an automobile engine is to gather all the necessary parts and tools, which include the engine block, cylinder heads, pistons, connecting rods, crankshaft, camshaft, timing belt or chain, water pump, oil pump, and gaskets.
Prepare the engine block by cleaning, honing, and measuring it to ensure it meets the manufacturer's specifications.
Install the pistons and connecting rods in their respective cylinders and torque them to the manufacturer's specifications.
Install the crankshaft and camshaft, align them correctly, and torque them according to the manufacturer's specification.
Install the timing belt or chain, which synchronizes the movement of the crankshaft and camshaft to ensure proper engine performance.
The next step is to install the cylinder heads, which provide the combustion chambers and valves for the engine.
Then install the water and oil pumps, which ensure proper circulation of fluids throughout the engine.
Conclusion:
Building an automobile engine is a complex process that requires precision and attention to detail. Following the right steps and using the right tools can ensure that the engine performs well and lasts for a long time.

Ferry Ride Vancouver Island To Vancouver
A ferry ride from Vancouver Island to Vancouver is one of the most scenic and practical ways to travel between the two destinations. The voyage typically takes around 90 minutes and provides passengers with breathtaking coastal views and a chance to sight-see the Gulf Islands.
The ferry services between Vancouver Island and Vancouver are operated by BC Ferries, which offers a variety of vessels and schedules to cater to passenger needs. The most common route is from Victoria on the Island to Tsawwassen in Vancouver, but there are other routes available, such as from Nanaimo to Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver or from Port Alberni to Bamfield on the western tip of Vancouver.
The ferries feature a variety of amenities, including cafes, restaurants, lounges, and gift shops to make the voyage enjoyable and convenient. Passengers can also opt to bring their vehicles on board, making it an effortless way to travel with cars, motorcycles, and bicycles.
Apart from the practicality and convenience, the ferry ride offers a unique experience of connecting with nature and exploring the beautiful Canadian coastline. You can enjoy the fresh sea breeze, watch whales and dolphins swimming alongside the ferry, and catch glimpses of the coastal mountains and lush green forests.

Can You Ride Your Bicycle Like They Can?
Can you ride your #bicycle like they can?
This was part of the Alberta Bike Show, the showcasing of some jump jam talent. At the end of this video we also captured some mid-air still pictures which nicely outlines the talent required so most of the times a successful landing on 2 wheels is happening.
During the video some of the action is too quick for your eyes to fully capture but with a still picture, you can see that sometimes they are completely upside down.

The Alberta Badlands
The Alberta Badlands, located in Alberta, Canada, is a unique and mysterious landscape that was formed millions of years ago. The Badlands are known for their distinctive rock formations, deep canyons, and striking geological features. One of the most iconic geological formations found in the Alberta Badlands is the Hoodoo.
Hoodoos are tall, skinny spires of rock that can reach heights of up to 20 meters. These magnificent formations are the result of thousands of years of erosion caused by wind and water. They are made up of layers of sedimentary rock, and their unique shape is due to the varying hardness of these layers. Over time, the softer layers erode away, leaving behind the harder layers to form the towering spires we see today.
The Hoodoos found in the Alberta Badlands are a testament to the power of nature and its ability to create awe-inspiring landscapes. They offer visitors a unique opportunity to witness the natural beauty and wonder of the world around us.
While the Hoodoos are undoubtedly a mesmerizing sight, they are just one aspect of the incredible Alberta Badlands. From the rich paleontological history to the unique flora and fauna, there is so much to explore and discover in this rugged part of Canada.
The story of the Alberta Badlands and the Hoodoos is an incredible one, and it is a true testament to the natural beauty and power of our planet. If you are looking for an adventure or simply want to reconnect with nature, a trip to the Alberta Badlands is a must-see experience.

Air Fryed Chicken Drumstick with green beans and pasta
Here's what dinner looked like; Nice crispy chicken drumstick done in the air fryer.
Sprayed olive oil on the drumstick and a bit of salt, after that I dipped it in some dry shake and bake, cooked in the air fryer with the chicken drumstick setting, around 20 mins or so, until crispy. Tasted pretty darned good to be honest.
The green beans were out of the can and the pasta was from a knorr package so nothing to divulge there, but it all turned out great.

Okotoks Alberta Show and Shine 2011
It was 2011 and a beautiful day in Okotoks, car enthusiasts from all over town and elsewhere had gathered for the yearly show and shine. The happy chatter and the roar of engines filled the air as people came to admire the impressive collection of classic cars. From the vintage Fords and Chevrolets, to the muscle cars of the 70s, there was something for everyone.
The event was held downtown Okotoks, gleaming cars were on display. The polished chrome bumpers, shiny hubcaps, and vibrant colors drew people in like flies to honey. Families strolled past each car, children pointing out the coolest ones to their parents.
One of the highlights of the show was General Lee, it looked exactly like the one that had been on the Dukes of Hazard. If you are old enough to remember that show that is.
People mingled, swapping stories about their own classic car restorations, and reminiscing about their youthful summers cruising the streets in their beloved cars. It’s an event that only comes around once a year, so once we know the date of the next one, mark it on your calendar.
We are testing sound on our side so these are only short samples of some work, we are tweaking a few things.

Is this a Thundercloud?
Thunderclouds, also known as cumulonimbus clouds, are tall and dense clouds that generate thunder and lightning. They typically form due to warm, moist air rising rapidly, leading to vertical development of the cloud.
Thunderclouds are often associated with severe weather such as thunderstorms, heavy rainfall, hail, and tornadoes. Lightning is a result of the buildup of electrical charges within the cloud, which eventually discharge through the air. Thunder occurs when the air is rapidly heated and expands due to the lightning bolt.
Thunderclouds can be dangerous and should be avoided when possible, particularly if lightning is present. Which means don't go outside and dance around under the Thunder and lightning storm, I did that once, do you hear my voice now? I'm fascinated by Thunderclouds. I used an AI robot on the voice btw.

Eggs And Hashbrown For Breakfast
Eggs and hash-browns make the quintessential brunch dish. It is a classic combination that hits all the right notes - crispy potatoes, buttery eggs, and a hearty serving of protein. Whether you are looking for a savoury or sweet brunch, eggs and hash-browns offer something for every palate.
The key to a perfect brunch dish is to ensure that the eggs are cooked to perfection. There are many ways to prepare eggs - scrambled, poached, over easy, or sunny side up. To make the perfect egg dish, you need to consider your personal preference as well as the type of dish you are preparing.
When it comes to hash-browns, there are two popular methods that you can use - shredded or cubed potatoes. Shredded potatoes are perfect for crispy, crunchy hash-browns, while cubed potatoes are best for softer, more flavorful hash-browns.
To add some extra flavor to your eggs and hash-browns, you can also use different spices and seasonings. Some of the commonly used seasonings include paprika, garlic, onion powder, salt, and pepper. You can also add different meats such as bacon, sausage, or ham, to make the dish heartier and satisfying.
Overall, eggs and hash-browns brunch is a classic dish that has stood the test of time. It is a staple in many households and restaurants and remains a favourite among brunch enthusiasts everywhere. Whether you prefer your eggs and hash-browns savoury or sweet, this classic dish will surely satisfy your taste buds.
