Spanish Rock Reef Scuba Diving June 18th, 2020
Spanish Rocks Reef saltwater shore dives on the west coast of Florida. Tropical fish live on an around the ledges with turtles and nurse sharks spotted on occasion. Average depth is from 15 to 20 feet based on tides. Visibility is very conditional upon wind direction and strength. This dive site located on Anna Maria Island. Find the beach access point on Gulf Drive North and 33rd Street. 33rd Street is only 50 to 100 feet long and serves as the parking lot for the local beach access. From the Beach access point find the reef by walking south along the beach six houses and then head out from there due west for a couple hundred yards. You must go past the sandy bottom area. With Poor visibility is easy to miss.

Blue Heron Boulevard Riviera Beach, Florida 33404 The Blue Heron Bridge, a top-rated dive site on the Intracoastal Waterway, with excellent conditions, easy accessibility. A vast variety of marine life for divers, snorkelers and underwater photographers. The diverse ecosystem of this, located in Phil Foster Park (ICW), is just inside Palm Beach County’s largest estuary, the Lake Worth Inlet. Since the area is protected by the ICW, scuba diving is possible in weather conditions that would normally limit time in the water via boat or shore diving off Florida’s East Coast. The best time for diving the Blue Heron Bridge is half an hour before or after high tide.

Christ of the Abyss Aug 8th, 2018 & Key Largo, Fl Dec 5th 2020 In August of 1965, a nine-foot-tall bronze statue of Christ was Placed in 25 feet of water off the coast of Key Largo, Florida. It is Known as the Christ of the Abyss, the submerged statue is in John Pennekamp Park. It is the third of its kind cast from the original Italian mold. It was to represent Christ in the new world below the waves, a memorial for all those who had lost their lives at sea and a monument to those who continued to dive beneath it.
