Fix your Redbubble greeting cards & postcards! Here's a quick tip for making more money on Redbubble. I've seen many artists (including myself) do this: leaving white edges on Redbubble postcards and greetings cards. Even if cards aren't a best seller product for you, Redbubble will show random products on your shop page and some of those might be cards that have white edges on them and make your shop page look unprofessional. So, let's fix it and make your shop look better by removing the white edges from your artwork on Redbubble cards! Oil painting on primed vs. unprimed cardboard! Would like to paint on cardboard instead of a canvas to save money or to make recycled art? Do you have to prime the cardboard with gesso first or can you paint straight onto cardboard with oils without priming it? Let's test it! New repeat pattern tutorial! I'll show you how I edit the scanned amaryllis flower drawing from last week's video and turn it into a seamless repeat pattern in GIMP for print on demand sites such as Redbubble and Society6. You could just upload the edited image as is to Redbubble and use the tiling tool there to make a diagonally repeating pattern. However, we can the repeat pattern a bit more interesting by adding two versions of the same image into the pattern. This could be a mirror image, a tilted image or a colored silhouette, for example. Relaxing lupine flower plein air tutorial. I sketched a lupine outdoors by a lake. This video is something between a speed drawing, a tutorial and an ASMR video, since the pencil drawing itself is sped up but I recorded birds singing and other sounds by the lake for background noise. So, it's a speed drawing with ambiance sounds, where I also talk you through the process of how to draw lupine flowers. Are your soft pastels or chalk pastels getting dirty with pastel dust? Here's a quick tip on how to clean pastels with rice. Let's see if it works! You can also use this tip for storing your pastels and even for traveling with them without having them rub off on each other getting dirty and breaking into pieces. You can reuse the rice and apparently even clean it with water, when it gets to dirty to clean the pastels. Just don't soak soak it in water for too long. Do you really need to prime cardboard before painting? I'm comparing primed VS unprimed cardboard with opaque acrylic paints.
