Four Celebrities That Unveil Their New Furniture Lines
Furnishings designed by famous people are a thing, and more celebrities are joining the furniture line movement! Here are our favorite picks of celebs with furniture collections.
This month DJ Khaled with collaboration created a line of furniture called “We the Best Home.” This is clearly a play-off of one of his most popular and most successful songs. This line exudes opulence. Customers will notice tones of gold and other “monetary” type based colors. DJ Khaled says, “At my home, this is how we feel... and I know my fans, this is how they feel.” This line is very over the top and showy, and would suit anyone looking to have a very “blingy” look to their home furnishings. This look is not for the faint of heart, and it is not for the simple or minimalistic viewer. However showy it may seem though, there is definitely a great level of interest in this line.
The ever-popular host and comedienne Ellen Degenereslaunched her furniture line “ED” in collaboration with the furniture company Thomasville. This line carries a somewhat rustic, yet sophisticated modern look in its furnishings. It is simple, elegant, and sleek. This line carries pieces that are very on trend in the home décor area lately. The video shows white sofas with classic and simple throw pillows and slider accent chairs with bold but soft patterns. Ellen states, “It’s classic, it’s beautiful, it’s sophisticated, and it’s rich. Wow, you know what? For anyone who has ever dreamed of sitting on Ellen’s couch, now those people can do just that!
The last up on the list is Sofia Vergara. This line is very different also, as all of these three lines have their own sense of style and character. Sofia’s line is very plush and rich also, but the color pallets are very different than the first two. She teamed up with ToGo to create stylish sets of furniture for almost every room in the home, while the first two mainly focus on living room or dining room furniture. This line also caters to a more common customer, as the pieces here can be found for much lower prices than other celebrity lines. Don’t let the cheaper price fool you though, because you will still see a high level of sophistication and style in this line’s pieces.
The clip shown from one of her commercials for her line highlights a navy blue sofa with button detailing down the sides and back, portrayed to be very soft and comfortable. In front of Sofia and the sofa are two living room tables consisting of glass and metal, complete with a matching end table and lamp. These pieces are very in with the modern style that everyone now seems to look for and want. The pieces have a personality to them and a subtle humor, much like their creator has in all of her television roles that she is most well-known for.
All three lines are beautiful and unique, and consumers really cannot go wrong either way.

Real Estate Expert Shares Staging Tips To Sell One's Home Faster
First impressions can make all the difference. When a potential buyer walks into your home, that first impression should be a lasting one. Realtor Bonnie Love says it starts with home staging – so here are three tips to set the stage to sell your home!
When asked how important staging a home is in general, Bonnie Love says, “Staging a home is hugely important. A staged home sells 78 percent faster than an unstaged home.” When asked whether a homeowner should do their own staging or if the realtor should, she states that the person’s “realtor will be the one who can help with resources in staging.” Many sellers may not know how to properly stage a home, so this is one of the many areas where the realtor comes in handy with solutions. These people are much more experienced and know what they are doing, so sellers should not be hesitant to lean on their realtor for help in this process.
When staging the living room of a home, Love suggests that sellers should stick with lighter furniture. She says that she also may have one or two pieces less than she would in a home that she would actually be living in. Having less pieces, but still enough to fill the room comfortably makes this staging process a bit easier. This also helps rooms to feel light and airy, and sometimes actually makes them seem bigger than they really are. She also suggests using an ottoman with a tray, possibly containing a tea set up. This shows a look that is still feeling somewhat lived in, but not too much.
When it comes to the dining room, the little, small details can be the finishing touch on a well staged room. The video shows a beautiful dining room table set up containing several different pieces. The viewer will notice that the table does not just include the typical plates and dishes set up. The table also contains attractive and decorative pieces like napkins, little planters with herb like plants, and a fruit centerpiece with bright color. The only outstanding colors in this example are with the centerpiece, giving a very organized, light, and planned look and feel. Bonnie Love says that her number one rule for staging is to “go all the way, or not at all.” What this means, as she explains further, is “when setting up the dining room table, go all the way like you really are inviting someone over for dinner. Use the placemats; do a centerpiece; do all the finishing touches.”
However, she does say that the “fake plant” in the video is not something she is a huge fan of, but she would like it if it were a real plant. I think it actually looks quite cute, and it gives a more rustic feel, which even though I am not a huge fan of the rustic style, it goes very well with the wood work and detailing present in the dining room table. Love recommends to try to stick to only real things though: real fruit; real plants; etc.
The final tip given is to create an inviting space in the kitchen. Don’t keep it just empty because that can come off cold; you want the potential buyer to be able to see themselves cooking in this kitchen. One piece of advice for this is to have a cookbook on display, even possibly opened if it can be displayed in a neat and orderly and pretty fashion.

Three Recipes That Fuse Together Your Favorite Dishes
Tons of popular chefs have been on YouTube lately combining their favorite foods for an even better dish – like Rice Krispies cheesecake, or macaroni and cheese quesadillas. We met with Hearth 61 chef Alfred Muro at Mountain Shadows who showed us how to create some crazy food combos from our favorite dishes!
There have been numerous chefs lately on YouTube sharing recipes that combine their favorite foods to create an even better dish. Some of the more popular examples are “rice crispy cheesecake” and “Mac and cheese quesadillas.” Some of these recipes may seem a little odd and strange at first, but if you get up enough courage to try a few of them, you may be surprised by how much you like them.
The first dish combo in the video that Chef Muro presents is “Bratwurst Flatbread Pizza.” This dish is a winner for anyone who enjoys eclectic pizzas and meaty dishes. Some ingredients include aged cheddar, Dijon mustard, German sausage bratwurst, onion, etc. Roll out the flatbread dough, and then add all the toppings. Remember to always put the cheese on last so that it will keep all of your ingredients in place.
Pop your creation in the oven at 450 degrees for eight to ten minutes, and you’re done! The fun thing about pizzas of any kind is that you can literally create any combination of dishes that you can think of. There is not much that wouldn’t fit in on a pizza somehow, someway. This is a great place to start with creative cooking if you are just getting into some of these more risky dishes for fun.
The next recipe gives viewers a great new way to enjoy a sweet treat in a very interesting way. Sweets should be anything but boring. Try a dessert taco at your next get together! This would be an especially fun activity to do with friends at an informal dinner party. Everyone can create their own dessert taco, ensuring that all of your guests get their dessert exactly as they prefer. The taco shell itself is made from waffle cone batter.
For a dinner party, it is probably best to go ahead and have these premade before your guests arrive. When it is time for dessert, each person just needs to fill their taco shell with their desired ingredients that you have already prepped and laid out to be picked from. The ingredients used in the video to make this dish include candied cilantro, bananas, chocolate pearls, strawberries, hazelnut, marshmallow fluff, and vanilla ice cream. A good tip from the chef here is to first fill the corners with the marshmallow fluff before putting in any other toppings. This will ensure that all of the other ingredients stay put exactly where they need to be.
One of the oddest, but possibly most interesting examples is this next one: the “strawberry balsamic salad cocktail.” This may sound really odd, but people swear that it is an incredible edible treat. It is also quite pretty in its presentation. This drink combines whiskey, fruit, egg white foam, topped with spinach leaves.

Guinness Book Of Three Awesome Broken Records Of 2018
Each year, Guinness releases their wildly popular book of crazy and astonishing world records. And the records being broken keep getting more and more outlandish – like dogs doing the Double Dutch, and the oldest working DJ spinning music in the club. Last year, a record was set for 547 people all dressed up as Spiderman at a Comicon Convention in Sweden.
The records get even wilder and people will stop at nothing to get on this world renowned list! We rounded up some of the crazier Guinness World Records. Watch the video above to learn more!
Making it into the Guinness Book of World Records take brains, brawn and guts…we mean goats! Check out Ninja the small black and white goat. She holds the world record for the fastest time to climb over a human tunnel of 30 people by a goat. Who would have even thought that was a thing! Ninja accomplished her goal in just 9.40 seconds in Arizona in June of 2017. In this video, you will see Ninja the record holding goat run across 30 people’s backs as they kneel side by side in a line. Ninja’s owner April Gould says “I am so proud of her because she just follows instructions she’s cute.” April is the owner of Arizona goat yoga. She says that Ninja was already jumping all over people during yoga classes and this idea came one day when she saw the goat standing on one of her clients backs. April immediately thought “we can make something out of this!” When asked if all of this fame and fortune has gone to her head, Ninja replies with a small bleat and walks away. Now that is a Diva goat if we have seen one!
Spinning into the second spot is the world’s oldest professional Club DJ! By day, this 83 year old works in a restaurant. Come night time, she transforms into DJ Sumirock, all dressed in leather and lace, ready to set the club floor on fire! “I never imagined becoming a DJ at this age,” she says. “You are never too old to try something new.” “It is an honour to do this. Thank you very much.” She states, very grateful for the opportunity to stay young.
We are throwing caution to the wind with number three on the list ofthe craziest world records of 2018. The fast speed of a jet powered go kart makes the list. Tom Bodal of the UK says it was a bumpy road to jet powered glory! “Mainly things setting on fire, blowing up, exploding, things like that you know.” Tom recalls. The only thing he is burning up now is that World Record with more than 112 miles per hour in a jet powered go kart!
If you dream of being immortalized in a Guinness Book of World Records, April Gould has some great advice. “I would say just go for it, you know. It is fun to look at all the records in the book and say ‘I think I can do that!’”
Speeding, spinning and climbing into the record books are on the top of the list for the craziest world records broken in 2018!
