Name Our New Buck Contest 🐐
Welcome back humans! Went to Beautiful Sunset Farms in North Carolina yesterday, to drop off 5 of our kids, and bring home a new buck to add some new genetics to our mini herd of San Clemente Island Goats.
In this video you get to see Leonardo, who needs his own home if you are interested, and our buck to be named here.
Does he look like a Sam? Or Doc? What are your thoughts?

How Long Is Your Driveway Challenge 🚘
Hi, I'm Darin, and welcome to the "How Long Is Your Driveway Challenge." In this challenge, I'm going to measure the length of my driveway by walking down it and timing how long it takes. I'll then compare my results to other people's driveways to see who has the longest driveway.
Measuring the Driveway
I'm using a stopwatch to time how long it takes me to walk down my driveway. I'm starting at the street and walking to the end of the driveway.
[Scene of walking down the driveway]
Results
It took me almost 2 min to walk slowly down my driveway. Using Google Maps to measure my driveway from the street is about 400 feet long.
Compared to Others
I've seen some people on YouTube who have driveways that are over 1,000 feet long. I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to compete with those people, but I'm still proud of my 400-foot driveway.
Conclusion
The "How Long Is Your Driveway Challenge" is a fun and easy way to measure your driveway. It's also a great way to see how your driveway compares to other people's driveways. So if you're looking for a fun and challenging activity, I encourage you to try the "How Long Is Your Driveway Challenge."
Challenge Others
I'm challenging everyone to try the "How Long Is Your Driveway Challenge" and see how long their driveway is. You can share your results on social media with the hashtag #howlongisyourdrivewaychallenge.
Let's Get Moving!
So what are you waiting for? Get out there and start walking! The "How Long Is Your Driveway Challenge" is a great way to get some exercise and have some fun at the same time.
To make the video more fun and remarkable, I would add some creative elements, such as:
Using a variety of camera angles, including a drone shot of the walkway.
Adding music and sound effects to the video.
Interviewing people with different-sized driveways.
Creating a leaderboard of the longest driveway.
I would also try to make the video go viral by sharing it on social media and promoting it through online channels. I would also try to get other people to participate in the challenge and share their results.
I think the "How Long Is Your Walkway Challenge" has the potential to be a fun and viral video. It's a simple concept, but it can be made into something really engaging with a little creativity and effort.

My Morning Routine 😎
The sun has just begun to rise,
And I am up and out of bed.
I open the barn door wide,
And let my geese out to spread.
They honk and clatter as they go,
And I watch them from the porch.
Then I turn to the goats,
And let them out to frolic.
They run and jump and play,
And I laugh as they chase each other.
Then I go to the chicken coop,
And cluck with the hens and rooster.
They cluck and cackle in reply,
And I smile as I listen.
This is my morning routine,
And I wouldn't trade it for anything.
It's a simple life,
But it's a good life.
I'm surrounded by animals,
And I feel at peace.
I know that I'm lucky,
To have this life.
And I'm grateful for every day,
That I get to spend with my animals.

Girls & Gooses 👯♀️🪿🪿
(Verse 1)
I love girls and gooses, they're my favorite things
They're always there to make me smile, even when I'm feeling down
I've got a girl named Katie, she's pretty as can be
And she's got a goose named Velzy, they're meant to be
(Chorus)
Girls and gooses, they're my life
I don't know what I'd do without them, they're my feathered friends
They're always there for me, no matter what I do
I'm so grateful for them, they're true
(Verse 2)
I was walking in the park one day, when I saw a girl
She was sitting on a bench, with a goose by her twirl
I went over to say hi, and we started talking
She told me her name was Ella, and that her goose's name was Dale
(Chorus)
Girls and gooses, they're my life
I don't know what I'd do without them, they're my feathered friends
They're always there for me, no matter what I do
I'm so grateful for them, they're true
(Bridge)
I don't know why I love girls and gooses so much
But I guess it's because they're both full of touch
They're always there to make me laugh, even when I'm feeling blue
I'm so glad they're in my life, they're so true
(Chorus)
Girls and gooses, they're my life
I don't know what I'd do without them, they're my feathered friends
They're always there for me, no matter what I do
I'm so grateful for them, they're so true

12 Tips for an Amazing Trip to Dollywood 🦋
12 Tips for an Amazing Trip to Dollywood
Dollywood is a world-famous theme park located here in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. It is known for its down-home charm, award-winning rides, and high-energy entertainment. If you are planning a trip to Dollywood, here are 12 tips to help you make the most of your experience:
1. Arrive early. The park opens at 10am, but if you want to avoid the crowds, I recommend arriving at least an hour before opening. This will give you time to get your bearings and head straight for the rides and attractions that you want to experience first.
2. Take advantage of the FastPass system. The FastPass system allows you to reserve a time to ride certain attractions without having to wait in line. This is a great way to save time and get on the rides that you want to experience the most.
3. Don't neglect the shows. Dollywood offers a variety of live shows throughout the day. These shows are a great way to take a break from the rides and enjoy some entertainment. Some of the most popular shows include "Dollywood's Jubilee Jamboree," "The Smoky Mountain String Band Show," and "My People."
4. Check out the shops and demonstrations. Dollywood has a variety of shops where you can find unique souvenirs and gifts. You can also watch demonstrations of crafts and skills, such as blacksmithing, glassblowing, and pottery making.
5. Take a break in the afternoon. The park can get crowded in the afternoon, so it's a good idea to take a break and relax in one of the many restaurants or shaded areas. You can also catch a show or take a ride on one of the slower rides.
6. Stay for the evening shows. Dollywood offers a variety of nighttime shows, such as "Fireworks at Dollywood" and "Lights of Christmas." These shows are a great way to end your day at the park.
7. Bring comfortable shoes. You will be doing a lot of walking at Dollywood, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes. You may also want to bring a backpack to carry your belongings.
8. Pack a lunch. Food and drinks can be expensive at Dollywood, so it's a good idea to pack a lunch. You can also find picnic areas throughout the park.
9. Stay hydrated. It can get hot at Dollywood, so make sure to stay hydrated. Bring a refillable water bottle or purchase one from one of the many vendors in the park.
10. Be prepared for rain. The weather in the Smoky Mountains can be unpredictable, so it's a good idea to be prepared for rain. Bring an umbrella or raincoat just in case.
11. Have fun! Dollywood is a great place to have fun and make memories. So relax, enjoy the rides, and soak up the atmosphere.
12. Come back again soon! There is always something new to see and do at Dollywood, so you'll want to come back again soon.
I hope these tips help you plan your trip to Dollywood. We had a great time!

4th Of July Smoke Fireworks 💥
Fourth of July smoke fireworks, also known as smoke bombs or smoke grenades, are a type of firework that produce vibrant plumes of colored smoke when ignited. These devices are popular during Independence Day celebrations and add a unique visual element to firework displays.
Smoke fireworks are typically small, even handheld devices that are safe and easy to use. They consist of a cylindrical tube or canister, usually made of cardboard or plastic, filled with a mixture of chemicals that generate smoke when ignited. The tube is designed to emit the smoke in a controlled manner, creating a dense and colorful cloud that lasts for several minutes.
When the fuse of a smoke firework is lit, it ignites the composition inside the device. The chemicals commonly used in smoke fireworks include potassium nitrate, sulfur, and a coloring agent such as copper chloride or strontium nitrate. These chemicals burn slowly, producing a thick smoke that is tinted with the chosen color.
The smoke is expelled through one or more openings in the firework, creating a plume of vibrant color that rises into the air. The colors can vary widely and include options such as red, blue, green, yellow, purple, and even multicolored effects. The intensity and duration of the smoke depend on the specific composition and size of the smoke firework.
Smoke fireworks are often used for visual effects and can be combined with other fireworks to create stunning displays. They can be used during daylight or nighttime celebrations, adding a visually captivating element to the festivities. However, it's important to note that smoke fireworks are primarily designed for visual effects and do not produce any loud noises or explosive effects like traditional fireworks.
When handling smoke fireworks, it's essential to follow the manufacturer's instructions and exercise caution. They should be used outdoors in a well-ventilated area and kept away from flammable materials. Additionally, it's crucial to dispose of the used smoke fireworks properly, as the remnants may still be hot and pose a fire hazard.
Overall, smoke fireworks offer a safe and visually appealing way to celebrate Independence Day by creating colorful plumes of smoke that captivate and entertain spectators.

The Rapidly Growing Goslings 🪿
Darin bought two goslings, Dale and Velzy, from the local garden supply center. They were in a big box with a dozen other fluffy little goslings, cheeping away. Darin took them home and set up a cozy nesting box in the garage.
The next morning, Darin came into the barn with food and couldn't believe how much Dale and Velzy had grown. They were already twice the size they were when he brought them home yesterday! Their wings seemed to have sprouted overnight. At this rate, in 15 days they'll be full size geese, he thought.
Sure enough, 15 days later Darin walked into the barn, and Dale and Velzy waddled up to him, honking. Where did the time go, he wondered. His little furballs Dale and Velzy were maturing into graceful geese before his very eyes.
Darin smiled, feeling like a proud father goose. The magic of nature and the remarkable growth of Dale and Velzy left him in awe. His little goslings were getting big so fast. But in his heart, they would always remain his little Dale and Velzy, the goslings that growing up in the blink of an eye.

Walking The Goslings To The Pond, Best Part Of My Day ☀️
Walking the Goslings: Best Part of My Day
The sun was shining brightly as I opened the door to the barn. I stepped inside and was greeted by the sound of chirping and squawking. The goslings were waiting for me, their little feathers fluffed up and their beaks open wide.
I smiled and picked up the first gosling. It was so small and fragile, and I felt a surge of protectiveness. I gently placed it in a basket and then picked up the other gosling.
I carried the basket out of the barn and into the yard. The goslings were excited to be outside, and they started to flap their wings. I set the basket down on the ground and opened the lid.
The goslings immediately jumped out of the basket and started to explore. They ran around the yard, pecking at the ground and chasing each other. I watched them for a while, laughing at their antics.
After a while, I decided it was time to take the goslings for a walk. I put on my coat and hat and grabbed a leash. The goslings were eager to go, and they followed me out of the yard and onto the road.
We walked for a while, and the goslings seemed to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine. They waddled along beside me, their little feet pattering on the pavement.
We passed by the pond, and I decided to stop and let the goslings play. I tied the leash to a tree and watched as they ran around the park, chasing each other and exploring.
After a while, we started to walk back home. The goslings were tired, and they started to get fussy. I picked them up and carried them back to the barn.
I put the goslings in their pen and gave them some food and water. Then I went inside and relaxed. It had been a long day, but it had also been a good day. I had enjoyed spending time with the goslings, and I knew that they had enjoyed their walk.
As I lay in bed that night, I thought about the goslings. They were such innocent creatures, and they brought me so much joy. I knew that I would never forget the day I took them for a walk.
The next morning, I woke up early and went to the barn. The goslings were already up and running around. I smiled and greeted them, and they greeted me back with their chirping and squawking.
I spent the morning feeding and watering the goslings. I also cleaned their pen and gave them fresh bedding. After that, I took them for a walk in the yard.
The goslings loved their walk, and they ran around the yard, exploring and playing. I laughed as I watched them, and I felt a sense of peace and contentment.
Walking the goslings was my favorite part of the day. It was a time for me to relax and enjoy the simple things in life. It was also a time for me to connect with the goslings and build a bond with them.
I knew that the goslings would only be with me for a short time, but I cherished every moment I have with them.

Baby Goslings Daily Walk To The Pond; AI Short Story 📖
/Imagine Once upon a time, on a small homestead, there lived a family who decided to adopt two adorable baby geese named Dale and Velzy. Little did they know that their lives were about to take a hilarious and unpredictable turn!
From the moment Dale and Velzy hatched, they had an insatiable curiosity and boundless energy. It seemed as if they were determined to keep their family on their toes at all times. The family quickly learned that raising geese was no walk in the park—quite literally!
Every day, like clockwork, the family would take Dale and Velzy on a walk to the nearby pond. The geese would waddle along, honking excitedly, as if they were leading a parade. Onlookers would stop and stare, both amazed and amused by the sight of a family being led by two geese.
One sunny morning, as the family set off on their daily goose walk, Dale and Velzy decided to inject some extra excitement into their routine. The moment they reached the sidewalk, they sprinted ahead, dragging their bewildered family behind them. The family shouted, "Slow down, Dale and Velzy!" But the mischievous geese only honked louder, convinced that they were in a race to reach the pond first.
The geese led their family through the neighborhood, causing chaos in their wake. They dodged mailboxes, startled cats, and even managed to snatch a freshly baked baguette from a passing bicyclist. The bicyclist, too stunned to react, simply watched as his breakfast vanished into the clutches of two geese with wings flapping triumphantly.
Finally, after a wild goose chase that seemed to last an eternity, they reached the pond. Dale and Velzy dove into the water with glee, splashing around and honking as if they had just won the goose Olympics. The family, exhausted but laughing uncontrollably, watched as their feathered companions enjoyed their well-deserved victory swim.
As time went on, Dale and Velzy's escapades only grew more amusing and unpredictable. They discovered a hidden talent for chasing squirrels, much to the dismay of the neighborhood's furry inhabitants. They even managed to disrupt a local yoga class by attempting to join in, flapping their wings and attempting "goose poses" alongside the humans.
Despite all the chaos, the family couldn't help but adore their mischievous geese. Dale and Velzy had brought a whole new level of excitement and laughter into their lives. Every day with them was an adventure, and even the simplest tasks, like taking a walk, turned into unforgettable experiences.
And so, the family continued their daily walks with Dale and Velzy, embracing the unpredictability and humor that came with raising geese. They learned to expect the unexpected and cherish the joyous chaos that these two feathered troublemakers brought into their lives. After all, having two baby geese underfoot may keep you on your toes, but it also fills your heart with endless laughter and love.

Did you know that geese are nature's organic grass-fed self-propelled lawn mowers? They are an eco-friendly way to keep your grass neatly trimmed without any greenhouse gas emissions. Simply install a gaggle of geese on your property and they will quickly devour every stray blade of grass, dandelion, and weed. The only exhaust they produce is a steady stream of little green pellets that make excellent fertilizer.
Geese come with built-in alarm systems to deter any predators trying to interfere with their grass removal operations. Their loud honking and aggressive hissing ensures no stray dogs, foxes or neighborhood cats will try to disrupt them at work. They are self-sufficient, requiring only a source of fresh water and the occasional handful of corn to keep them happily trimming and fertilizing for hours at a time.
The only downside is that geese are not very open to human supervision or direction. Attempts to herd them to certain parts of the lawn or speed up their mowing schedule are met with indifference or open hostility. They follow their own internal grass-eating clock and agenda. But with patience and understanding, one can develop an appreciation for these organic free-range lawn mowers and the quality of work they do, at their own pace and in their own way. Just sit back, enjoy a cool drink, and listen to the soothing sounds of geese honking contentedly while they work. Your lawn has never looked more perfectly manicured!

My Baby Geese; Velzy & Dale 🪿
When breeding a brown Toulouse goose with a white Chinese goose, the resulting offspring, called a hybrid, will inherit traits from both parent breeds. The appearance, disposition, and usefulness on the homestead of these hybrids will vary, as they will be influenced by both parent breeds.
**Appearance**
The offspring may have a mix of the following physical attributes:
- Size: Toulouse geese are a large breed, while Chinese geese are smaller and more streamlined. The hybrid offspring will likely fall somewhere in between, having a medium to large size.
- Color: The hybrid may have a mix of brown and white feathers, or it could inherit predominantly brown or white coloration from one of the parent breeds.
- Neck: The Chinese goose has a long, slender neck, while the Toulouse has a shorter, thicker neck. The hybrid offspring may have a neck length and thickness that falls between the two extremes.
- Bill: The Toulouse has a broad, rounded bill, while the Chinese goose has a more slender, slightly curved bill. The hybrid may have a bill shape that is a combination of these two traits.
- Keel: The Chinese goose has a pronounced keel (a ridge along the breastbone), while the Toulouse typically does not. The hybrid may or may not display a keel, depending on which parent's traits are more dominant.
**Disposition**
Both Toulouse and Chinese geese are known for their unique temperaments. Toulouse geese are generally calm and docile, while Chinese geese can be more talkative, alert, and assertive. The hybrid offspring may exhibit a mix of these traits, resulting in a bird that is social, friendly, and protective of its territory.
**Use on the Homestead**
The hybrid offspring of a brown Toulouse and white Chinese goose will likely be well-suited for a variety of roles on the homestead:
- Egg production: Both Toulouse and Chinese geese are good layers, with Chinese geese often laying more eggs per year. Depending on which parent's traits are more dominant, the hybrid may be a prolific layer, providing a steady supply of eggs for the homestead.
- Meat production: With a medium to large size, the hybrid goose may be a suitable option for meat production, offering a good yield of quality meat.
- Weed control: Geese are known for their ability to help control weeds in gardens and fields. The hybrid offspring may inherit this trait, making them a valuable addition to a homestead where weed control is needed.
- Guard animals: Chinese geese are known for their alertness and protective nature, which makes them effective guard animals. If the hybrid offspring inherit these traits, they may be useful for protecting the homestead from potential threats, such as predators or intruders.
Keep in mind that the traits of hybrid offspring can vary widely, and not all individuals will possess the same combination of characteristics. However, the mix of a brown Toulouse goose with a white Chinese goose is likely to result in a versatile, attractive, and useful bird for a homestead setting.
