Tetra 24 Flextenders
I wanted more travel in the rear suspension. In stock form it is fairly limited. I needed a part to make it happen that did not exist... Until now. 🏁

I don't even know what this is
A viewer saw one of my hiking videos on YouTube and noticed a blip. I investigated and this is what was there. I have no clue what it is or how to explain it.

SCX24 MoFo RC Alpha 5, Portal Axles
This is a bad girl! 😎 I got to test my MoFo RC Alpha 5 with Portal axles in the Arizona desert for the first time. The Portal gearing drops the top speed by 25% but gives back with 25% more torque.
In nature a slightly wider wheel track helps a lot with stability. This is my favorite 1:24 for the desert.

Wall Climbing Technique
After almost two years of rock crawling I discovered a technique that helps keep my front tires planted against a wall while climbing it. Maybe you knew this. I didn't and was surprised when I realized what was happening.

SCX24 MoFo RC Portal Edition
This was my first chance to drive my Deadbolt with Portals and the Positive Offset wheels. I was very impressed with the extra skidplate clearance. I had not expected that. There are things it does extremely easy because of the overall increased ground clearance.
It is also very stable because the additional weight added by the brass portal boxes is all low weight. I highly recommend getting the wheels shown in the video. It brings the wheel track back closer to normal. It is still slightly wider but not excessively. It's right.

MoFo RC Positive Offset Wheels For Portal Axles
In this video I attempt to quantify the changes in center of gravity after switching from standard wheels and big Scrambler tires, to positive offset wheels and small tire, Patagonias. With the portal and wheel system it was able to improve the numbers in nearly every category. These wheels also bring the offset closer stock width which reduces the scrub radius.
My videos are work and kid safe. Watch with confidence.

MoFo RC Portal Install and CG Measurements
I tried to keep this video moving. I also included some install tips that you may find useful.
Clearance measurements and center of gravity values were recorded before and after the portal installation. It lost only a degree or two with regard to climbing and descending but gained hugely in side hilling and ground clearance.
In the next video we will go for a test drive. Enjoy the show. 🇺🇸

MoFo RC - The BOOMS Keep Coming
I am so excited to start working on this stuff! This is going to crush it in the SCX24 game.
Whether it was on purpose or not Nick's upgrade parts will also be a game changer for the Panda Hobby Tetra 24 crowd. Wait until you see what I initially do with those wheels. ; )

Tetra 24 Steering Nuckles. Are yours free?
Ensure your steering links move freely. If not your servo is in danger of failing prematurely.
Remove the link screws and check the freedom of movement on your own truck. What you find may surprise you.

Tetra 24 Bumper Mod
This video shows how I tucked in the front and rear bumpers. By doing this it now has better approach and departure angles.
The front one was simple. The rear bumper too a little more work.

Tetra 24 Rear Suspension. Note To RC Manufacturers at 13:02
I work on the rear suspension and get it freed up. With the components moving freely the chassis can now be tuned.
At the 13:02 mark I have included a note to manufacturers for future products. It probably should have been a separate video but here it is anyway.

Nexx Racing NX-276 Carbon Fiber Chassis
This is a brief summary of the build and its suspension capabilities. I made a video of the build but omitted a critical piece in the beginning so I didn't feel like it was a valid demonstration so I shot this instead.
I have included screenshots of the assembly diagrams which I did not have access to when I originally put mine together. It uses front and rear cantilever style shocks. Copy the same instructions in all four corners.
It is very simple. The 4 long screws are for the pivot arms. also put the thinner spacer washer between the pivot arm and the chassis. The 2mm thick washer is for the inner shock mount.
I hope this helps if you decide to build one. Enjoy the show. 🇺🇸

SCX24 Angled Driveshaft Clearance
I always wondered why the front suspension articulated more freely one way than the other. The control arm was hitting the driveshaft because it was not channeled in the same orientation as the driveshaft.

SCX24 MoFo Roboflex Cantilever Shocks / Chassis Bind Points
In this video we install and test drive the MoFo RC Roboflex antilever shock assembly. We also look at common things that can limit the free movement of the suspension.
With this equipment you will have a very cool looking suspension that gives improved travel and ground clearance. It also offers some ride height adjustability and customization.
It will slightly decrease the truck's ability to descend steep angles but it gives an increase in rough terrain capability. This is a very cool trail truck mod.

SCX24 Beginners Guide. T
Congratulations for getting your first SCX24. I hope this video helps you keep your new truck running well for a long time.
The following is a post from aone of my posts in a Facebook group. It details what I do when I get a new truck:
"This is my New SCX24 Pre-Drive Inspection And Procedures List:
De-sticker the motor for better heat dissipation.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=pYKTfu3FrDg#dialog
Clearance the upper front upper suspension link so it doesn't rub on the driveshaft yoke.
Ensure both driveshafts are phased properly.
Ensure wheel nuts are not over-tightened. On some trucks it will bind the axle. (Not all. I am not sure why.)
Move the headlight wires away from the swing of the front tires as much as possible.
Clearance the upper rear suspension links so they are not travel limited by the lower battery tray mounting screws. You can unscrew them slightly to keep the ends of the screws from hitting the rear upper suspension links. If you feel the link flexing before the suspension reaches full compression, it is binding.
---
My Extended Preparation List below has things that never really need to be done but in my opinion are foundational for a great truck. It is the foundation that I build upon.
-High clearance links via a heat gun. My YouTube channel has a video showing the process.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=qfGH9SPG9iM
Remove (cut off) as much unnecessary weight from the top of the truck. Lower what you can't remove. Every gram removed from the top is equivalent to adding one on the bottom.
Magnetic body mounts
Add heat sinks to the motor
Clearance the wheels arches so they don't rub on the tires.
Put heavy grease in the shocks
-Now its ready for me to drive. : )
For everyone else who is not interested in doing all of these things, just drive it and hope nothing burns up. Accept known rubbing and clearance issues. The choice is up to the buyer. I just hope they don't whine and blame Axial when their motor smokes in a week."

SCX24 Injora Wheels, Adding Hex Weights
These wheels are similar to the SSD wheels in the fact that they have screws on the back side of the dish that do not normally allow weights wheel hexes to seat fully. This is how I work around that.
