Maddie the Great Dane loves the rain. Floridians love rain as it broke the oppressive heat. Watch & enjoy as Maddie makes herself comfy on the loveseat while she & Mom enjoy watching the afternoon rain which brought the beastly temperature down so they could sit outside together. Yippee!!!

Maddie the Great Dane is usually quite a raring to go girl at all times. But sometimes even Maddie hits the Mom Snooze Button. Watch & laugh as Maddie gives it a moment of thought & then decides she is not quite awake yet. It has been a busy few weeks for everyone taking care of Mom, who after 13 days finally tested Covid negative this morning! Thank you again for all the get well wishes.

Great Danes should drink & eat from elevated bowls & Maddie has decided that she has a new method to elevate her elevation by standing up & sink drinking. Watch & laugh as Mom knows exactly what is spinning through Maddie's water loving brain as she eyes the tap in the pool bathroom, but they are both rather surprised when Maddie stands up to go Counter Surfing for running tap water. Ellie decides to check out the bathroom excitement & enjoys a drink from the shower drinking bowls, while Maddie keeps circling back to the sink. Mom calculates the risk / benefit ration of an automated tap as she watches the water fall out of the hole in Maddie's chin & heads for slobber towels.

Ellie the Great Dane is such a good big sister. Watch & enjoy as Ellie & Dad keep a close eye on Mikey (who did not have ants on him) as he discovers the wonderful world of digging & dirt.

Jack the Cat is very particular about his personal hygiene. Watch & laugh as Jack examines each strand of the blinds in the guest suite (where he is taking care of Mom as she continues to recover from Florida Summer Eris Covid) to find the perfect strand to floss his whiskers & teeth. Twelve days in Mom is improving, but still testing positive, though less positive, which is positive. Thank you so much for all for the get well wishes.

Maddie & Ellie the Great Danes love to dine with at their window table. Watch & laugh as Maddie & Ellie, who are both messy eaters, love to take a break from munching & check out the view from the kitchen window. Of course, when the girls look out the window, food fall out of their mouths, on to the "table", the window & onto the kitchen floor. Clean up...Table One...lol

Maddie the Great Dane knows there are are some definite perks to being Mom's nurse & one of them was sharing Pizza in bed together. Watch & laugh as Maddie gets up close & personal with Mom's piece of pizza & doesn't have Mom's Covid problem of not being able to taste the pizza. Thankfully while still positive, Mom is improving, but still being cautious & under doing life with horizontal activities, rather than overdoing things to respect the creepy virus & let herself get stronger. Thanks for everyone's concern & well wishes for Mom & Dad's recovery.

Maddie and Ellie the Great Danes love lounging in bed. Ellie a little more than Maddie. Watch & laugh as Mom discusses starting the day with the girls. Ellie continues to give Mom the look that looks like she has done too much partying, while Maddie is up to getting the party started, but to Ellie's delight settles down on the bed bench. Another day of hibernation in the Florida heat with feels like temperatures of 119C / 47 C.

Ellie the Great Dane is not a great fan of the heat. Watch & laugh as Ellie is happily parked in front of the Ryobi Fan & has no interest in Mom's idea about getting up & getting breakfast. Ellie is thinking that perhaps breakfast could be served in front of the fan in the feels like 117 F / 47C Florida heat.

Ellie the Great Dane loves to gently nibble on her toys...until she doesn't & until Maddie decides that she needs get get in on the game as well. Watch & laugh as Maddie does her best to watch patiently as Ellie corn rows her toy.....until she doesn't. Then it is bring on the Doorway Tug of Toy Game & with some fancy push away footwork as the girls enjoy playtime waiting for Mom to feel better so everyone can open more wonderful gifts from Fairy Godmother. Mom is still finding gravity a bit challenging as she recovers from Covid.

Ellie the Great Dane loves her stuffie toys. Watch & enjoy as Ellie enjoys the comfort of holding on to her stuffie & then has fun nibbling "corn rows" sitting in her favorite spot guarding the doorway.

Maddie the Great Dane worries when Mom isn't feeling well. Watch & enjoy as Maddie cuddles up on the pillow & snuggles up & takes care of Mom as she recovers from Summer Covid. Dad tested negative after 7 days, so Mom should be negative in the next few days Mom's Covid experience had been that laying horizontal is deceptive to your actual abilities when vertical.

Maddie & Ellie & Jack the Great Dane are familiar with the treat cabinet in the Art Room (another in the kitchen). Watch and laugh, and Jack & Maddie & Ellie patiently wait for Mom to share some treats. Maddie did a great job at Jack&apos's SIt 101 class & patiently sat & waits for her treat!

When he was visiting, Maddie's brother Merlin was impressed to see that Maddie & Ellie also have a doggie drinking bowl in the bathroom....aka a bidet. Being a quick study, Maddie caught on to the fresh flowing water fountain. Watch & laugh as Maddie tries, but thankfully has not yet succeeded to turn on the lever on the bidet . Maddie still has to drink with adult supervision...and no bathroom flooding.

Jack the Cat is a loving guy who knows when Mom isn't feeling feel. Watch & enjoy as purring Jack gets up close & purr-sonal with Mom trying to help make her feel better as she works through the day 3 symptoms of Covid which are thankfully mostly just like a bad head cold with a sore throat. Jack knows that fur therapy cuddles from Jack, Maddie & Ellie is just what Mom needs to help her feel better.

Despite Mom's household disinfectant regime & masking up around Dad, Mom has tested positive for Covid. Thankfully, due to vaccines & boosters & regular doses of Tylenol for fever, both Mom & Dad symptoms are similar to a bad cold with an annoying headache. So it's lots of sleeping & reading & fluids & sleeping for everyone. With Mom & Dad is two separate rooms, the furry medical attendants are splitting their attention between both patients. This is the first time Mom or Dad has tested positive.

Jack the Cat is quite a polite & well-trained fellow. Watch & laugh as Jack gives a little more home-schooling training to Maddie & Ellie, demonstrating how to sit on command when Mom asks & convinces the girls to pose for a family photo. Ellie was sleeping in class, though Maddie appeared to be paying attention to Professor Jack! Remember the Ginger Rule!.... Cats Rule.

Maddie the Great Dane loves to share dinner even when Mom & Dad aren't sharing dinner together at the same table. Sadly, for the first time since the onset Covid, Dad tested positive over the weekend & Mom & her disinfectant sprays & masks is diligently trying to avoid the Covid cooties which she had never caught. Mom made a light dinner a variety of tastes to check on Dad's taste buds. Of course, Covid or not, Mom had to have placemats & napkins & cute little greenery napkin rings to match the lighted topiary. Maddie reported her taste buds are just great....as she swiped the meat & flung the lettuce out of Mom's piece of Italian Sub...which rapidely became Maddie's piece. Take note Mom, Maddie also much prefers Macaroni Salad to Potato Salad & gave the sub lettuce a big Phooeey!

Mikey the Great Dane loves playing with his howling ball. Watch & laugh as Mom wanders through the Casa looking for Mikey & his Mousey Ball & Mikey just can't help himself, when Mousey starts squeaking, Mikey starts howling.

Ellie the Great Dane isn't really big on exercise when she is awake. However, when she is sleeping..... Watch & laugh as Jack the Cat & Maddie watch as Ellie enjoys a run in her sleep during her afternoon nap. Ellie ramps up the exercise in bed at night, exemplifying the old joke that sleeping with a Great Dane is like sleeping with a drunk Octopus looking for his car keys!

Ellie the Great Dane is not overly food motivated, but she does enjoy ambience with her Great Dining experience. Watch & laugh as Ellie with her dinner companion Jack the Cat, patiently wait for dinner to be served at the table & for her bowl to be held for her while she dines. Not. Spoiled. At. All.
