Have a listen to hear about Joanne's HUGE win in Coutts Alberta. On Feb 18, 2022 Joanne was wrongly accused of possession of a weapon and mischief causing property damage. These charges were used in the media to validate the use of the Emergencies Act and this incident was referenced in the Public Order Emergency Inquiry. Now the courts have made it clear, they didn't have the evidence they needed to convict, because Joanne is innocent. For the past two years Joanne has been vilified by the media and as a results has had her life turned upside down. She lost her job, her reputation and has spent countless hours defending herself in court, as a self-represented litigant. Rebecca had her first quarantine trial on Dec 4th and her ruling on Dec 14th. The JP had to do some homework on the argument Rebecca presented. Spoiler alert... the ruling is to pay a fine of $1,500 as the judge ruled the Bill is superseded by the Charter... BUT is this true? Is the Charter the SUPREME law in Canada??? Section 26 of the Charter states otherwise; 26. The guarantee in this Charter of certain rights and freedoms shall not be construed as denying the existence of any other rights or freedoms that exist in Canada. Awesome Goodies on this Friday Night Zoom! First, Kelly Hale had his appeal this week for being forced to close by Kingston Public Health. He is arguing there is no enforcement for the Reopening Ontario Act and the section 22 as it was applied is a violation of his rights under the Bill of Rights as there was use of force pushing this into a federal matter through section 25(1) of the Criminal Code. Kelly was in the house to share his testimony! Rebecca had her trial last week for the Quarantine Act, and she did great! She covered off all the key points; violation of rights under the Bill regarding informed consent, privacy and equal treatment and protection of the law. POEC Winners, Losers, and Cheaters, what a week at the POEC! Brigitte Belton stole the show with her raw testimony that came straight from the heart. She said many of the things we wanted the world to know as to why we were protesting. And Jane called out all the critical problems with the POEC, including the Commissioners ties to the Liberals. We have a few important updates regarding the ongoing saga of the Ottawa Civic Hospital. First Bozena Lis was assaulted by the Hospital security, and then arrest by the police. Norm was also pushed by the security... just shows you how much the hospital wants to hide their dirty work.
