Stories That Inspire Us with Sarah Thomas - 09.14.22
Stories That Inspire Us welcomed to today’s podcast, Wednesday, September 14, 2022, Sarah Thomas. Sarah is a personal trainer, fitness instructor, nutrition coach, business mentor, wife, mom of three and the founder and CEO of Burn Fat and FEAST, a lifestyle program for women who feel stuck and frustrated with weight loss and overall well being. Burn Fat and FEAST provides a proven, step-by-step system that educates and empowers women to finally shed the excess weight, increase metabolism and stop the yo-yo dieting once and for all. At Burn Fat and FEAST “BFF”) she coaches women to live life to the fullest by focusing on progress over perfection!
Sarah found herself at a breaking point. She was perplexed with the overall wellness umbrella. As a fitness instructor, she was teaching 3 - 4 classes per day. She was exercising all the time and wasn’t feeling that great. She began to dig deep and researched different ways she could incorporate the things that she loved and feel better. She realized at one point that she had to have the grace to step away and gain a new perspective. And gain a new perspective she certainly did!
She realized that she was burning fat and supplying her body with good nutrition by not exercising all the time and eating more!! (Yes; I’ll have what she’s having!) This was not only a journey of self-discovery but a journey of a relationship with nutrition and mental health. The puzzle pieces were starting to come together and she wanted to share her passion even further and her hard work paid off and Burn Fat and Feast was born!
Sarah’s connection with her clients goes way beyond what to eat; it starts from the inside out. Think of Sarah’s approach as progress over perfection. Her program empowers women to take ownership of their wellness and change the trajectory of obesity and disease by providing a roadmap to sustainable success and a support system every step of the way!
Sarah and her mentors at Burn Fat and Feast are involved with her clients every step of the way. Sarah’s approach is unique, real and authentic. You can create your “domino effect'' - once you change one thing, that will lead to changes in other things - who wouldn’t want to knock that domino down off its feet??!!

Stories That Inspire Us with Amanda Love - 09.05.22
Stories That Inspire Us welcomed to today’s podcast on this Monday, September 5, 2022, Amanda Love. Amanda is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist and host of the podcast “Physical Emotional Health Secrets with Amanda Love”. (This is Amanda’s 2nd appearance on the “Stories” podcast. Her first podcast was on June 20, 2022.)
Amanda has a long history of illness (she was basically ill for most of her life) which culminated with the diagnosis of Fibromyalgia at the age of 20 in 2010. This not only filtered into other aspects of her life but also caused debilitating pain. (Amanda explained how difficult it was to deal with all of the overwhelm of being ill while dealing with issues of trauma that had occurred in her life.
She coaches and educates women on how to cook simple but delicious allergy-friendly healthy meals and to integrate a holistic approach through mind, body, and spirit.
Her “Story” has certainly evolved since her last visit with us. She was sharing her recent experiences with dating in the modern world. She met a guy and they dated for about 11 days this past July. She realized that he was not the right person for her. She urges young women to protect their energy and realizes now that it’s okay to let people go who are not right for you or who do not have your best interest at heart.
Amanda is part of a Christian Facebook group and let’s just say that someone has entered her life (you just have to listen to the excitement in Amanda’s voice.) What Amanda did mention and advised when you are starting to get to know someone, it’s important to learn how each of you will communicate with one another.
Amanda also advised “No Dating Apps!” She truly is a young woman who shares from her heart and soul. She’s a gem but be aware, she currently is “taken”!!!!!

Stories That Inspire Us with Jessica Harrington - 08.30.22
Stories That Inspire Us welcomed to today’s podcast Tuesday, August 30, 2022, Jessica Harrington. Jessica is a Speaker, and Stress Management Coach. She is the Owner / CEO of Journey to Yourself. Through her career and education, she realized that we all have a common issue - everyone, at some point or another, struggles with handling stress. (Jessica is what I refer to as a “repeat offender” - this is a term of endearment as she is such a gem and this is her 2nd appearance on the “Stories” podcast!)
(“Stories” also broadcasted through the Wisdom Audio App and we thank the listeners who listened to us “live” along with our guest that came up to speak about his medical journey and how he took ownership. Absolutely fascinating!)
Jessica just celebrated her 2nd business anniversary and in doing so wanted to celebrate in a way that paid homage and spread the word on suicide prevention. Today was a heart-to-heart, candid conversation on our compassion to share this sensitive topic and bring awareness in a way that honors and respects the journeys of those family and friends who have lost loved ones due to suicide.
There is no way to plan but we can contribute in a way that protects our energy. As Jessica put it, when we hear the word “suicide”, it’s like hearing the word “cancer” - we all know someone who has been affected.
We have heard so much about suicide the past few years (especially during the pandemic). How do you be proactive? This is a great question for a medical professional specializing in mental health problems. We can be proactive by donating, attending fundraising events, or even just donating our time.
If you are local to the King of Prussia, Pennsylvania area, check out the fundraising event she is hosting along with her friend, Daniela Galdi who will both be guest speakers at this event on Thursday, September 22, 2022 from 6 - 8pm EST - click the link below:

Stories That Inspire Us with Nadia Krauss - 08.26.22
Stories That Inspire Us welcomed to this today’s podcast, Nadia Kauss. Nadia is the author of "The Magic of Transformation - Igniting & Manifesting your Soul's Desires". Her passion for Soul Health & Divine self-expression comes alive when she is able to take her clients through a Soul Realignment Power Retrieval Process. She approaches this from a holistic side.
Coming from a corporate background, Nadia worked as a health coach but she always felt this pull to do something more. When the pandemic hit, this started her spiritual sense that this was the beginning of a journey to fully claim her true gifts! She began to work remotely and ended up having time to write her book! Right after her book was published, she quit her job and the next day had her first discovery call!
Starting an online business can be such an overwhelming feeling; we know we are meant to do more but how do we go about doing it? Nadia tapped into her “spiritual google” and the fear of not being her own boss was greater than the fear of not trying. She wholeheartedly embraced what she was meant to do, despite the fear associated with becoming her own boss.
As Nadia commented that we all see “everybody” talking about the comfort zone, mindset zone, personal growth - what is missing is explaining what is actually happening. We know that our comfort zone keeps us safe and secure. From the perspective of what we want - we tend to stick with the “normalization” of addictive patterns. Nadia coaches her clients on the soul timeframe and which in turn leads us to the next step.
Nadia loves the magic of transformation - transform your soul desire and align them with your heart wishes. You’re building your own infrastructure and from their new growth, new skills and more soul desires! Look at what we were meant to do!

Stories That Inspire Us with Carolyn Ferrick - 08.18.22
Stories That Inspire Us welcomed to this today’s podcast, Carolyn Ferrick. Carolyn is the Podcast Host & Founder of The Search For Serotonin. Carolyn has been living with severe high functioning anxiety and clinical depression for most of her life, and she is still navigating managing both every day.
Carolyn has also been diagnosed with OCPD, which is a perfectionism personality disorder, and is more common than OCD. From trauma, denial, and suicide attempts, to therapy, healing and happiness, Carolyn has experienced A LOT!
Carolyn recalls that at a very young age she started to experience depression and at one point recalls, this must be a new type of normal. She grew up with a loving family and siblings and attended Catholic school so her depression engulfed her in such a way that she felt she didn’t qualify. (Her description is eye-opening!)
She shares her experience and recalls her 1st suicide attempt. She had decided that she didn’t want to wake up the next day. The next morning she woke up and continued on. She was navigating but not understanding the full concept of her depression. She graduated from high school and continued on to college where she made a 2nd suicide attempt. (She shares a very unique perspective and knew at that moment that she had to be hospitalized but was only turned away.)
Carolyn finally was able to connect with a mental health professional. She is currently on medication and continues with her therapy sessions.
As Carolyn described her podcast “I was speaking to a younger me.”
. . . You are still going to have bad days and bad moments . . . you have everything you need, everything inside of you even though it doesn’t feel like it . . . You are capable; you are valuable and you are going to do some amazing things. You just have to let your walls down and let people see you for who you are.

Stories That Inspire Us with Gary Martinez Jr - 08.15.22
Stories That Inspire Us welcomed to this today’s podcast, Gary Martinez, Jr. Gary is a Single dad to his two children: Cristian and Monica. His daughter Monica, is Autistic. Gary learned early on in his quest to adapt to the lifestyle of being a busy single Dad that he first and foremost had to make his self-care a priority. If that meant getting up extra early, he did that.
He was also faced with the uncertainty of communicating with his daughter. She did not speak and could not communicate with others. Through his research as a parent and his tenacity to adapt, he eventually found a beautiful way to communicate with his daughter. (Honestly, you just have to listen to the passion in his voice; as a Dad and as a parent confronted with so many obstacles Gary did not let that stop him!)
He found a purpose which fueled his passion. Along with taking care of himself, his children were able to see his transformation on a very personal level. It was through that adversity where he could communicate on a Father / Daughter level with his daughter, Monica.
She eventually was able to communicate in a way which made sense to her and Gary was able to adapt to that way of communication. Monica loves movies and Gary began to see where he would touch upon different segments of Monica’s favorite movies and they would act out scenes together. (Again, the passion in Gary's voice - just amazing!)
Gary became a personal fitness trainer and works with clients enrolled in the Silver Sneakers program. Most of his clients now are parents with children who have autism. It is his passion and he is fulfilling his purpose of helping Autism parents who struggle with low energy become more active so they can have more energy to have more fun with their kids at home or on the go. Gary truly is on the “go” for sure!
Gary gave some amazing tips for parents who learn that their child has Autism. He also shared that at some point, he will be starting his own podcast so that he may provide a platform for other parents and caregivers of children with Autism to share their experiences.

Stories That Inspire Us with Emily Hart - 08.13.22
Stories That Inspire Us welcomed to this today’s podcast, Emily Hart. Emily is a small business owner with a background in business efficiency and process improvement. She has extensive experience in healthcare, coaching personal empowerment and interpersonal skill development, as well as energy work. She was my previous podcast guest on “Stories” on June 3, 2022. Today, we focused on the very sensitive part of her story of overcoming childhood trauma of sexual abuse, at a very young age.
Emily shared that where she is in her life today is exactly where she should be. It was through the process of setting boundaries; non-negotiable boundaries to be exact that she looks back on her journey, the steps she had to take, working on her authentic self-preservation, that she protected her emotional intelligence.
She realized that the hard work of going through therapy that her business Indigo Thrive, was a result of her coming out of the ashes. This was her devine path to an emotional freedom she now lives with. We don’t forget, speak your peace and know that the intention has been set in that declarative moment!!
Emily and I both agree that to a certain degree, self-preservation will always be a work in progress and we are both okay with that.
As Emily stated, “I don’t chase; I attract!”

Stories That Inspire Us with Christi and Rick Diamond - 08.03.22
Stories That Inspire Us welcomed to today’s podcast, Christi and Rick Diamond. Christi and Rick are both directors at Marriage Boot Camp (as seen on WETV) and have helped hundreds of couples heal and repair their marriages to create a lasting and solid connection with each other.
As with many married couples, and especially for Christi and Rick, this was each of their respective 2nd marriages. Christi met Rick at a church dance and reported that “ . . . of all the guys that I danced with that night I saw kindness in his blue eyes . . . “. She and Rick immediately connected; however, he lived about an 1.5 away from her home so it didn’t work out right away. They ended up dating a year later which became an 8-hour date!
They got married; settled into their new married lives then about 2 years into their marriage, their prior wounds, their prior traumas and past behaviors began to creep into their marriages (for each of them.) They embarked on a journey of marriage counseling and that didn’t seem to work out. They sat down with their children and announced they were divorcing. (Christi and Rick shared such vulnerable information; to hear the sorrow in their voices of the wounds in their marriage, for each of them to realize the part and role each of them played was not only astounding, but eye-opening.)
Christi went away on a business trip to LA for a speaking engagement. She went through a traumatic experience while in LA and was robbed and held at gunpoint. (She flew back home as soon as she could and Rick met her at the airport. Christi describes her ordeal as ultimately a “divine intervention”; Rick realized he almost lost his wife.
They were in Sam’s shortly after her flying back home and it was in the middle of the aisle that Rick admitted “I can’t without you.” (To hear the passion in each of their voices . . .)
Life moved forward yet there were still unresolved issues with their marriage. Fast forward and Christi decided she was going to go to bootcamp. She informed Rick, this is when I’m going and I want you to go. (He went kicking and screaming!) Needless to say as Rick put it, this intervention was “life changing”.
Together, they created "Healing Acres" where they facilitate individuals and couples at their luxurious retreat center on 40 acres as they unplug from the world and plug into deep connection with themselves and each other in an exquisite experience surrounded by opulence and nature.
Together they have traveled the U.S. speaking and teaching classes on healing all while living their dreams together. They are the parents of 4 children and they highly value laughter, intimacy and family.

Stories That Inspire Us with Jessica Harrington - 08.09.22
Stories That Inspire Us welcomed to today’s podcast, Jessica Harrington. Jessica is a Speaker, and Stress Management Coach. She is the Owner / CEO of Journey to Yourself. Through her career and education, she realized that we all have a common issue - everyone, at some point or another, struggles with handling stress.
Jessica worked in Public Health for many years before she started her business and saw first hand, in many difficult situations, how stress affected the physical and emotional well-being. If we approach stress from a preventative standpoint, meaning implementing different strategies to help us cope through the process, we are able to work through stress much better than always taking a reactive measure.
Stress for many is often handled as “controlled chaos” and Jessica urges us not to put ourselves into a more stressful situation than we already are. It’s a tailwind type of situation as we are in the circle of trying to pinpoint the exact reason why we feel so stressed and yes; that causes more stress!
It’s okay to feel bad; it’s okay to acknowledge how we feel, now it’s time to implement actions to help us through that stress we are feeling. Stress manifests itself through our physical and emotional well-being. It’s about creating that balance through body, mind and our actions. Jessica offered some great tips:
*Take a breath; think of the main thing that you need right now.
*Talk to someone; whether it’s calling a friend or a family, etc.
(And so many more tips as well!)
Jessica offers 1:1 coaching as well as corporate workshops. Her approach is from a “preventative” standpoint taking bite size habits that create solution based outcomes. We sometimes cannot avoid stress (we all have experienced it) yet, there are still things that we can do to manage the stress and if we need to, there’s always Jessica’s approach to “Journey to Yourself” - everyone should have their own Journey and Jessica will help you get there!

Stories That Inspire Us welcomed to today’s podcast, Dr. Victoria Wilson-Crane. Dr. Wilson-Crane is an Advanced Grief Recovery Specialist, and supports adults grieving life losses. Educational innovator and leader, Dr. Wilson-Crane used her academic writing skills and love of words as therapy as she faced significant bereavements in 2020.
In 2020, Dr. Wilson-Crane shared that she lost her niece at a very young age. She went through a different array of emotions and felt as though she was outside the inner circle of grief. It was so hard for her to process her feelings. She began to express her grief through journaling and researched different methods to help her go through the grieving process.
She started to apply what she learned through her research and began to feel better equipped on how to deal with her emotions. She wanted to share this method with others and became an Advanced Grief Recovery Specialist.

Stories That Inspire Us with Lynn Catanao, Esq. - 07.29.22
Stories That Inspire Us welcomed to today’s podcast, Lynn Catalano. Lynn is an Author, Attorney, Speaker, Coach and survivor of narcissistic abuse.
Lynn was an only child and recalls vividly that most memories of family gatherings, centered around her parents’ behavior toward one another. You would think that 2 + 2 = 4, however with her parents, it didn’t - that was a huge red flag.
You see, Lynn realized at a very early age that her Father was not who she thought he was. Memories of her childhood flooded back to different family gatherings where she detected things were not normal. Her parents' behavior toward one another at family gatherings was very dramatic and emotional. You see, her Father was an abusive narcissistic person and her Mother protected Lynn to the best of her ability.
This became even more apparent to Lynn when about 12 years ago, her Mom passed away at the age of 66 as her Father continued on with his narcissistic behavior. (Lynn explains in great detail that someone who has a co-dependency with a narcissistic person needs to be needed. People who suffer from this type of mental illness (the abuser) have no hope; have no mutual respect; lack empathy and in most cases have no ability to navigate their behavior.)
Lynn realized that as a Mom herself, an attorney practicing law, the curious nature in her began to research and document every aspect and detail of what she remembered from this abuse from the past few years.
It must have been shocking in some respects after learning a family member is a narcissist, she learned how to reframe her thinking, retrain her mind and her reactions. Now Lynn helps others do the same. Lynn helps them reframe their thinking in every aspect of their lives; from the workplace to their personal life, becoming an agent of change. She helps people identify the toxicity that’s standing between them and success and develop a plan to thrive.
Lynn is the author of the book “Wrecking Ball Relationships: How to Identify, Live With or Leave the Narcissist in Your Life,” available now on Amazon.
“ . . . you are not alone and you did nothing to deserve this. This is not your fault but please know that there are resources out there and that you need to talk to someone; you need to protect your mental and emotional health.” Lynn Catalano

Stories That Inspire Us with Samantha Lander - 07.27.22
Stories That Inspire Us welcomed to today’s podcast, Samantha Lander. (Please be advised that some strong language is used within the audio and video of this podcast - please do not listen or view this podcast in the presence of children or others who may be offended.)
Samantha is a single Mom, personal trainer, functional diagnostic nutritionist who DJs on the side. She owns two businesses and has been her own boss for over 20 years. She’s raw, authentic and shares a very vulnerable side of herself. She recognizes her strength, the adversity of her story, and continues on a path to share her vulnerability in a way that certainly inspires others.
She held nothing back and some may say that she alone created her own drama. She fully accepts the results of her actions, accepts the fact that it was her normal at the time and as bad as those “bad” times were, as she has learned from them.
By her own admission, she destroyed her life, several times over. She led a partying, crazy life which led her down the path of no-return. Again, she fell, but she kept getting up. When Sam puts her mind to do something, no matter what that something is, she achieves it - good, bad or indifferent, she owns it.
Until, she didn’t own it and accepted the fact that she was going to prison. She realized that she had let go of her demons and relinquished control to a higher power and quite honestly, was relieved that her actions were finally given a consequence.
You may say that she fell apart - she stretched the limits, recovered, and came back under her own terms. This was a normal pattern and familiar way of life for her and in her own words, “I’m pretty stubborn!” Pretty stubborn to be her own boss and a Mom and that’s what I love about Sam! Direct, to the point and there is nothing off-topic!
Sam is very active on Social Media and through her business, SeeFit, she educates people in a fun way when it comes to being healthy. She provides bi-weekly IG lives on all things health and wellness and LIFE. She has been featured as a guest on over 20 podcasts educating people through her own personal journey and education. (“Stories” I think is one of her favorites!)
“I love to talk on all the various topics in my life as long as it can help someone else.” “Be proactive; not reactive.”
Sam is straight up authentic!

Stories That Inspire Us with Ann Visser - 07.25.22
Stories That Inspire Us welcomed to today’s podcast, Ann Visser. Ann is the co-founder of 4 Better 4 Ever and a certified John Maxwell coach, speaker and trainer. For over 20 years, she has been empowering and equipping individuals and organizations to communicate clearly to build close connections because effective communication is essential for every healthy relationship.
“It starts with our story.” Ann’s is no different. She fell in love with her soul mate; high school sweethearts. She pursued him and their love affair began! Life moved at a fast pace and within 6 years, Ann and her husband had (5) children!
As life goes, it has different stages, so did Ann’s marriage. At one point, she and her husband had a discussion and Ann started it off with “I can’t do this anymore.” Her husband shared what he was feeling in his view of how they were communicating (or not.) It’s not that she wanted to end her marriage but the communication factor was not there. (The blessing in Ann’s story is that through this conversation with her husband started the process of healing and communicating in a better, more effective way!)
They went to marriage counseling, read all sorts of books and applied what they had learned along the way in their marriage. As a result, she and her husband started to share and apply what they learned with others and organized their business 14 years ago, 4 Better 4 Ever and for about 8 years, were initially offering their services for free. (They both knew that their 4 Better 4 Ever was meant for more!)
She shared that we all want better communication. She was at the point of what she (thanks to one of her friends) refers to such communication issues as the “creeping separateness”. She shared some amazing points on how to process your feelings and actions of communication such as: check your emotions; check your motives and check your mindset. (For Ann, she has a “thinking chair” where she sits down and goes through the same practices and exercises she coaches her clients with.)
Ann and her husband, Melis, have been married for 41 years. They love spending time with their 5 married children and 11 grandchildren.
Ann is offering a free 7-Day Challenge (5-Step Method to Start Effective Pivotal Conversations - thank you Ann!) To learn more and sign up for the free 7-Day Challenge, click the below link:

Stories That Inspire Us with Janet White - 07.22.22
Stories That Inspire Us welcomed to today’s podcast, Janet White. Janet is a Registered Nurse and Certified Life Coach. She was in the health field for many years and then the pandemic came around and she lost her job. She started thinking “what do I want out of life?”
She recalled her story thus far since that time: she was in a long term abusive marriage, had a bout with cancer, self-esteem / body issues coupled with a tremendous amount of grief. She had lost her Mom and shortly thereafter, her sister. She found that she was drowning her sadness and grief with alcohol. (She shared some very intimate, raw and authentic feelings of what she was going through.)
She knew that she had to do something, realizing that she was putting herself in victim mode and using alcohol as her crutch. “How can I be the best?” She had heard about being a life coach and started to look at various courses to take (she recommended that you look at the ICF - Accredited Courses.) Janet took this 8-month course, and became a Certified Life Coach.
As a result of her story and being brutally honest with herself, she lost 50 lbs., quit drinking and on a daily basis is learning to be happy with herself and all of her imperfections! Part of Janet’s daily routine includes her 7-point system (categorizing each one on a scale of 1 - 10) which she also shares with her clients - Pre Cans:
P - Purpose and Passion
R - Rest and Recovery
E - Exercise
C - Connection
A - (no) Alcohol
N - Nutrition
S - Sleep
Janet just came out with her newly released book: “Finding Bliss Beyond the Buzz” - to order her book, click the link below:

Stories That Inspire Us with Ashley Jangro - 07.21.22
Stories That Inspire Us welcomed to today’s podcast, Ashley Jangro. Ashley is a former teacher (MA Ed.), Certified Life Coach, and most importantly, a Mom. She is the founder of Mentally Strong Moms, a group designed to help moms build the mental strength, learn the strategies, and get the support they need to raise mentally strong kids, even if their kids are struggling with mental wellness.
Her story started back when her daughter was struggling with anxiety and depression (and unknown to Ashley at the time, undiagnosed ADHD). She tried everything she could to help, including going back to school for a second MA in Counseling. In Ashley’s words, nothing she did seemed to help, and she found herself often drowning in fear, shame, helplessness and hopelessness.
While Ashley was completing the counseling program, she discovered life coaching, and started working with a coach to lose weight and stop relying on alcohol as a way to cope. She learned to manage her mind and emotions, which was new and life changing. She found herself meeting her goals, and realized that the skills she learned impacted every area of her life.
She did not, however, anticipate the powerful impact learning these skills herself would have on her daughter's mental health. As Ashley’s mental health improved, her daughter’s improved as well.
Ashley is a big believer that with the right tools, Moms (and Dads!) can have a massive impact on the mental health of the upcoming generation. Mental health professionals are often faced with more needs than they can meet right now. Ashley has bridged the gap to arm parents with the tools they need to support their kids to fill and maintain that gap.
Ashley’s program, Mentally Strong Moms, helps moms build up their own mental strength by gaining an experiential knowledge of strategies that they can pass onto their kids so they can raise mentally strong kids.
“Correction over obedience.” “Prioritize connection over correction. What am I making it mean?”

Stories That Inspire Us with Lindsay Dunlap - 07.20.22
Stories That Inspire Us welcomed to today’s podcast, Lindsay Dunlap. Lindsay is a Teacher, Coach and Chief Sanity Officer. She truly has a very unique ability to intuitively listen to help guide her clients through their daily chaos and noise to keep them moving forward.
Lindsay is also a farm wife and mother of 2. After her husband suffered a traumatic amputation in a farm accident in 2014, Lindsay poured her heart, soul and all her energy into keeping her family moving forward. And move forward she did with a fierce determination to keep her family going.
The journey to recovery had a lot of winding roads and detours! In the beginning of 2018 she realized she couldn’t continue life the way she was going…she was burnt out, resentful and just plain exhausted. It was through this experience she went through with her husband that she realized she had to find time to recharge and be at peace with herself in those very sparse moments.
She realized she had an opportunity to make more of an impact and she heard a voice deep within her saying “be a coach”. As we often do when we want to research a topic, Lindsay researched how to become a coach on Google. It was almost as she put it, a wink from the Universe.
It took Lindsay a year to become certified and on her last trip to obtain her in-person training, doubt crept in but she pushed forward.
She now takes her story as her inspiration to support other ambitious, hard-working women who are at the point of, “but how?! What’s the next step?”
“Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional.” Truly, Lindsay gained a sense of acknowledgement, acceptance and appreciation for what she and her family went through. “Fuel your soul.”

Stories That Inspire Us with Maria Garcia - 07.19.22
Stories That Inspire Us welcomed to today’s podcast, Maria Garcia. Maria is a survivor and by all means, “Genuinely Maria”. At the age of 25, Maria suffered a stroke that left her with the ability to only blink. The day she suffered her stroke, is a day she will always remember. She recalls hearing “white” noise; she was trying to say words but nothing was coming out.
She was rushed to the hospital where she was eventually deemed non-responsive by the doctors. She physically was there but her health was in a peril type of life situation. She could not communicate; or so she thought. With great and intense detail, she relayed how the doctors informed her family that she would be in a vegetative state for the rest of her life (if she made it through) and even began the process of conversation with her family to harvest Maria’s body for organ donations.
To say she was, as Maria described, imprisoned in her own body is truly an understatement! She felt depressed, sad and frozen. She lost all hope. It wasn’t until her friend came to see her and showed Maria pictures of a vacation that they had taken together that Maria communicated with her friend via her eyes. Her brother did extensive research on stroke victims and was informed through such research that if you moved the patient’s limbs, etc., this would help them to rehabilitate to some type of functional living.
It was a very long hospitalization; re days then admitted to a rehabilitation facility for 2 months. She still felt depressed and as if there was no hope. Her medical benefits eventually ran out and she was discharged from the rehab facility. She had the added benefit of the work that her brother did with her and was in a wheelchair. As with many homes, a wheelchair was not conducive to her home so she immobilized herself with a walker.
She attributes the ability for her to use a walker to her brother moving her limbs which was critical to her life going forward!
Fast forward a few years and she attended a webinar for a nutritional program (WildFit). She took the course and now helps others to “Become a Better You”.
Maria can show you how to harness the power of good to become a healthier, stronger, more vibrant version of yourself.
“You don’t see the purpose . . . when you are going through something like this.“
Maria - we see your purpose clearly and with intent to inspire others to do the same! Maria’s story is truly a part of Stories That Inspire Us and I know that her story will inspire you!

Stories That Inspire Us with Melissa Miller - 07.15.22
Stories That Inspire Us welcomed to today’s podcast, Melissa Miller. Melissa is a former Certified Nursing Assistant turned full time Online Business Owner and Stay At Home Mom and Spousal Caregiver.
Melissa’s story began in 2019 when her husband suffered an epiletpic seizure. (He had no prior history and the road to a diagnosis was a long and twisted journey. She describes her journey as throwing spaghetti to the wall.)
In May, 2020, Melissa’s husband’s health started to rapidly decline from the series of epileptic seizures that he had been having since December 2019, Melissa decided to embark on a temporary 3 week medical leave.
It wasn’t until July, 2020 when it became out of necessity to care for her husband and daughter following an official diagnosis of epilepsy.
(As she described her journey with great detail, I was struck by how calm, raw and authentic she was. As a new Mom with a toddler at the time, she was faced with an uncertainty of these epiplipetic episodes which she described as “fire storms”.)
It is Melissa’s mission to share her story to help other moms/spousal caregivers who were facing similar situations after her own struggle with finding resources in her own transition journey into being a full time Stay At Home Mom and Spousal Caregiver.
She encourages any Mom who has been thrust into this rollercoaster, spaghetti thrown to the wall situation that you don’t have to go it alone. She now coaches Mom’s who are stay-at-home Mom’s and spousal caregiver. She offers free consultations and stresses that it doesn’t have to be that your spouse suffers from epilepsy; it can be any type of chronic illness that she can assist you with.
Melissa coaches and encourages her clients with her Prompt Method:
P - Preparing for the Unexpected
R - Reaching Out for Support
O - Getting Organized Around Your Home
M - Managing Your Busy Schedule

Stories That Inspire Us with Kristy Baranovskis - 07.13.22
Stories That Inspire Us welcomed to today’s podcast, Kristy Baranovskis. Kristy is a certified Kitchen Confidence Coach, specializing in nutrition and meal prep. She works with moms to create simple, easy routines and meals in the kitchen so that they have less stress and more time in their day.
From the time Kristy can remember, she struggled with food. Food was the center of her family gatherings growing up. Over time, food became a comfort and also what she turned to when she was bored. As she so eloquently described and with a lot of respect for her journey “The problem was the food I turned to was empty in calories and void of nutritional value.”
Kristy shared with great detail that her mindset and being aware did not come easily. She knew with certainty that her journey started with food and she wanted so much more for herself.
It comes from the backdrop of her story behind the story - she looked to food for comfort again and again and after her oldest daughter was born her marriage began to dissolve. She went through a divorce and found herself a single working mom. As she describes, everything was a struggle and of course finances were the main part of her struggle. She found herself depressed and was thankful to just get through to the end of the week. Again, she found herself lacking in skills to deal with all these life stressors, and found a familiar comfort with food.
She knew she had to start somewhere and for her and she had such a passion in her heart to help other single Moms! That first step was a big step! She vividly remembers going to Barnes & Noble and purchasing the South Beach Diet book for $15.95. Her life, her turning point, where she was as a single Mom, she wanted to share her journey with other Mom’s which led to her business Klean Eating with Kristy where she has a few courses - the first one specializing in nutrition and meal prep and her next signature program Flavor University (virtual cooking classes).
Kristy explained in great detail what each program has to offer. She also shared some of her kitchen confidence including her favorite appliance (an Insta Pot) and how to “clear” the clutter along with a pantry overhaul and the essential spices you should have (Kristy has 10 basic spices she keeps on hand.)
Kristy’s story is truly a part of Stories That Inspire Us and I know that her story will inspire you! She shared her story as a young girl and how she fell into the diet trap and how she eventually ended the cycle of diets. It is her passion to teach her clients the many benefits of prep work and how and what to cook.

Stories That Inspire Us with Monica Cox - 07.11.22
Stories That Inspire Us welcomed to today’s podcast, Monica Cox. Monica is a top Functional Fertility Coach and Infertility Warrior. She's a Functional Fertility Health Coach and supports women in finding the root cause of their fertility issues and becoming the conscious mother they were born to be!
Monica’s infertility issues didn’t just happen overnight; her journey was long, emotional and heart-wrenching. Through a series of trials and tribulations, going through fertility treatments, then to a few miscarriages - all an emotional roller coaster took it’s toll. After about a 7-year journey, it was suggested to Monica to change her diet around and work with a functional health coach. (Our diet, nutrition habits play a vital role in our overall health.)
Monica and her husband did just that - changed their diet around (she thought they were eating pretty well.) She also found out through a series of testing that part of the reason she was unable to carry is that she has a condition of high natural killer cells which attack any foreign objects in the body (such as an embryo.) Her instinct kicked in and she felt a sense of pride and learned so much through her journey.
Monica eventually became pregnant! As a little time went by after the birth of her first baby, she and her husband conceived naturally! (You just have to hear the passion and joy in Monica’s voice as she shares her amazing story!)
Monica’s mission is simple - to work with Mom’s-to-be who are dealing with fertility issues (normally this can take up to a year.) She stresses that this is not something that happens overnight.
Monica is relatable, compassionate and dealt with years of unexplained infertility, failed IVF's & survived several miscarriages before becoming an IVF mom & getting pregnant natural even though the doctors said there was nothing she could do to improve her situation.
Monica is also an Author of the best-selling journal "Boost Your Embryos" and host of the highly popular podcast Finding Fertility. She is dedicated to inspiring women to look beyond their infertility diagnosis and take control of their health. Her signature online program, The Fertility Formula & Personal Fertility Focused Coaching, has helped women increase their chances of creating the family of their dreams.

Stories That Inspire Us with Karen Hewitt - 07.07.22
Stories That Inspire Us welcomed to today’s podcast, Karen Hewitt. (Warning: the Topics discussed in today’s podcast can be triggering and detailed - not suitable for young viewers or listeners!!!!!)
Karen is a certified Life and NLP Coach as well as a successful, multifaceted entrepreneur. She is an “Introvert” as well as a Business Coach and the Unfuckable Bad Ass Bitch Owner / CEO of Blossom to Success. She shares her story and her gifts in an empathic and authentic way to help others.
Discovering real-life gifts where introverts have the most power, Karen teaches her audience how powerful, creative and successful you can be as an introvert, a woman and a busy Mom juggling it all!
Karen had the “fairy tale” or so she thought. Her story takes us on a journey from almost losing her life to a man she thought was there to help her gain strength, leaving her with agoraphobia, PTSD and anxiety where she became completely locked in her introverted world to becoming a true powerhouse in helping others stand true in their own gifts and strengths.
As an empathetic and compassionate speaker, she connects with introverted individuals that know that there is something more to what they are doing but don’t know how they can impact or express themselves because of feeling shy, introverted or even unworthy.
Karen’s story may be your story right now and in her words:
“. . . But I will tell you that you are a beautiful individual that is worthy of so much love, and so much support. And there are people out there willing to offer you that love and support if you let them in and just talk to them. Gain that support network. Because that support network is what's going to give you the strength to be able to do the steps that you know you need to do. I'm not in a place to tell you. But you are worthy of that love, you are worthy of that support, you are worthy of that friendship. You are an amazing individual . . . “
This is truly “Stories That Inspires Us” - a story of triumph over tragedy; a journey to be respected, her story to be shared to inspire others to know that even in the midst of their terrible situation, there are more blossoms yet to come!

Stories That Inspire Us with ChiChi Choolwe Musmonda "ChiChi" - 07.02.22
Stories That Inspire Us welcomed to yesterday’s podcast (Saturday, July 2, 2022), Chichi Choolwe Musonda ”ChiChi”. ChiChi was born in 1995 in Zambia southern province monze Africa, and is the founder of Celecho Orphanage limited Zambia. (I had the amazing opportunity to connect with ChiChi through Clubhouse in the Evermindful Clubhouse room. I was immediately drawn to her story to share it with others!)
ChiChi ended up leaving home at a very young age - 14 years old. While this decision did not come easy for her, she knew in order to save herself, it was exactly what she had to do. She loved her Mother so much and of course, that weighed heavy on her mind.
One of her sisters hated ChiChi so much that her sister poisoned her, literally. ChiChi’s heart was filled with so much emotion. (You have to hear how ChiChi describes her story.) She became a “street kid” and moved far away from her home. She was able to find work fetching water for a salon. She worked and worked and hard at work she gave it her all!
At some point, she started working for the salon and was able to learn the trade. She took great pride in her work and it showed!
She continued to save her money and at 16 years old, saved enough to rent a 3-room house. She ended up opening her own salon and a boutique. During this time, she also helped other “street kids” as much as she possibly could.
ChiChi made connections around the world so much so that she caught the attention of Dr. Celeste Blow from the USA. Through that connection, ChiChi was able to follow her true calling and legally and properly start the orphanage! This orphanage does not received any type of government assistance from Africa and relies solely on the generous donations received from around the world! (Most recently, the Evermindful Clubhouse room raised funds for ChiChi to purchase land to build a new facility for the orphanage.)
In ChiChi’s words:
“Write something on your vision board and take when that didn't happen and present it before God you may not have money now that God will give you a vision we'll make sure to provide there is provision for every vision. There is no vision with that provision. Remember that and you can make it you can do it. You can succeed, you can shine.”

She decided to start an online business that would bring her extra income and allow her to spend her days meaningfully. As with starting any new endeavor, she spent a couple of years learning and trying things that didn't give her any results. She had very limited tech skills and didn't really know what she could other Senior women.
Through a lot of trial and error, Lucie finally discovered how anyone could start a business online that would make you feel like you were in control without building websites and becoming a tech genius.
As Lucie recalls, it was a long year and a half. After setting up her Ecommerce, she decided to pivot 360 degrees - she felt in her heart that she wanted to work with people.
“It’s all about relationships.” She had the knowledge now she had to find a way to monetize her wisdom.
She joined the Self Education Revolution where she learned what she could offer to other people as a 70+ woman and how to find clients online who would want what she had to offer. (She was hooked! She witnessed thousands of people creating 6 and 7 figure businesses by simply implementing the steps from the framework presented by Tony Robbins and Dean Graziosi in their Knowledge Business Blueprint and Progress Next programs and modeling them.
Lucie created her own team, and we are now serving and helping our clients to implement and launch their own courses, challenges, and workshops.
Lucie also helps other senior women to implement and benefit from the done-for-you program by sharing how she implemented it. “Financial freedom is important . . . you have to take the steps . . . you control your circumstances.”
