Part 4.

In part 3, John finds some whitefish.

Here's part 2 from Wyoming. There's more to come.

Fished a long section that I've never been on before. The middle was mostly shallow and I didn't even bother making many casts there. The beginning was the best. I thought the last section was going to be the best, but I didn't get a lot there. The last fish was a lot of fun though. It was good to do some exploring, and I have no complaints about the size of the trout. I didn't touch a fish under 10 inches, though I didn't hook into any huge ones either.

Here I hit up a short stretch of water and caught a few browns.

John recently took his new GoPro on vacation with him to Wyoming. This trip will be broken into parts. Enjoy the scenery!

There really aren't a lot of fish caught in this one, but it was a great morning on the water anyway. I had the lake almost to myself. I met a friendly (hungry) turtle that wouldn't leave me alone, and enjoyed the company of deer and ducks (the deer and ducks aren't in the vid though!).

I finally conquered a worthy adversary! I lost a good fish at the start, but the one in the thumbnail was a rare animal in the high pressured waters that I fish. He was in a spot that just screamed big trout, so I took my time and worked the spot. Every other fish I caught was small, but the big one made the walk on a "new" section worth it.

A better outing than the last. Kept a 13" brown, and caught some dinks.

The fishing has been pretty slow for me lately...

Manguy and I went fishing for redhorse and found some success.

Manguy & I took the canoe out and caught some crappies. The water was still pretty cold at this point, the fishing is probably better now.

Manguy & I got out for the trout opener. Things didn't go as planned, but we made the best of it and enjoyed our time together.

After dealing with silent and/or henned up birds for my first two days turkey hunting, I was able to successfully pull off a kill on the third evening. I had some close encounters off camera while being aggressive, and probably could have killed one if I took a questionable shot. I'm glad I waited for this guy though. I didn't get him eating a face full of lead, as usual turkeys don't do what they're supposed to. But, hopefully the video is enjoyable anyway.

Manguy and I got out sucker fishing. We caught 4 suckers, 3 redhorse, a bullhead, and Manguy's biggest fish!

I got after the 'gills old school style yesterday morning - with bobbers. This time of year if you can find warm water the panfish are usually stacked in it. I got a limit, and a few mishaps occurred...which is par for the course for me.

Here's how my trapping season went. Pretty slow! There's too much to do this time of year, and 12 hour shifts get in the way of having too many traps out. I had some more canine sets out, but they didn't produce either. Looking forward to next season, but there's a chance I still might snap another otter or a beaver before the end of March.

After hours of John and I trying to coax trout into biting, he manages to get some action on a Rippin' Rap. We also got serenaded by some North American hyenas before we left.

Did well on the crappies once again, but can't say the same about cooking 'em. I think I will stick to frying them in oil!

I headed to a lake I'd never been on before in the dark and spent an hour drilling holes looking for deeper water. I couldn't find it (no smartphone here, just looked at maps before I left the house), so I hopped on a different lake where I knew I'd be able to get a few crappies before it got too light out.

Hit up open water for the first time this year. John & I went to Eureka to fish for walleyes on the Fox. There were a lot of people, but not many fish. I caught a good one, and I only saw 2 others caught. It's still early.
