Night Fishing For River Walleye / River Fishing For Walleye In The Summer / Walleye Videos

In this walleye fishing video we go to night fishing for a river walleye in the summer of 2021. Night fishing for summer walleye in the past has been challenging and frustrating. Chances of getting into a good walleye in summer is certainly a lot harder than in the fall. But this summer I’ve been catching more walleye than usual but I have also been targeting them a little more than usual. In summer I prefer night fishing over getting sunburn but night fishing for river walleye is really the way to go anytime of year but even more so in the summer. Hot summer weather and low water conditions can often create an even greater challenge for those trying to river fish for walleye. So I have been pleasantly surprised with the quantity and quality of river walleyes I have been catching while walleye fishing so far this year. Another reason I like night fishing for walleye is that when you catch one of the moon phases fishing can be extra good. If you’ve ever fished all through the night and caught all of your fish back to back during a short period of time you’ve probably experienced Fishing moon phases for a walleye. Sometimes the bite really comes to life during these moon phase events. Not always, I’ve been skunked during the moon phase many times but there’s also been many times where I’ve been able to make a direct correlation between the phase of the moon and the feeding habits of walleye. I do a lot of night fishing for summer walleye by bank fishing or by wading the river. I personally thoroughly enjoy the river wading at night even though it’s a little creepy it can allow you to access some excellent fishing holes the other people are less likely to get to. When I am stuck night fishing for a walleye from shore I always make sure to have an extra long fishing rod for long distance casts. In this walleye video I show off some of my best walleye lures in my box. I tossed some of my old favorites, the walleye lures that have stood the test of time as well as others that were something new to try.
