Kevin Durant BAITS The Grizzlies (NBA Top 10 GENIUS Plays)

Check out the great execution by the Brooklyn Nets on this out of bounds play.
KD of course is the main focus. Drummond is ready to screen for him, and if we stop it right here, Carsen Edwards is also looking like he’s setting one on the other side. Tyus Jones is even pushing him so that he has space to come out and switch.
But this is actually the decoy as Edwards goes through, and Drummond bumps Jones on the pick, just enough for the rookie to have a wide open shot that goes in.
Another day and another list of the top 10 slick plays. What up everybody, my name is Stefan and this is Heat Check. Let’s get into it.
Watch the recognition in transition here by Bjelica, as he signals to Kuminga to cut inside and get an easy layup.
I love the fact that a big man like Nemanja sees the floor so well, and sees that there’s a 2 on 1 situation on the left side. So the dive will either open a layup, or take that defender with him and the corner shot will be open. This time it was the 1st option.
Speaking of seeing the floor, Buddy Hield does that perfectly even with a 2 man trap on him, and delivers a perfect crosscourt pass for the three.
On the pick and roll, the Kings double team him and he knows that the rotation will be up here on the big man. So Buddy has the presence of mind to take an extra dribble and back away to be able to fling this pass all the way to the other side, to the wide open Brissett who knocks down this 3.
Real quick, you see that the exact same situation happened again on a pick and roll, and Hield is patient this time as well, and skips the pass all the way to the corner for another 3.
Speaking of crosscourt passes, Jordan Poole had a very interesting attempt that I wanted to include here.
Look at the flick of the wrist here, as it’s nothing else for me to analyze but the flashiness of the attempt I feel like you’d wanna see it.
Admittedly this almost went into the crowd but the athleticism of Gary Payton made this play even better.
The Lakers executed this smart inbounds play for DJ Augustin at the end of the first quarter.
First he screens for Melo right here on the elbow, Maxey switches and notice how everyone is concentrated on the strong side, so Wayne Gabriel comes flying with the second screen for DJ who sprints to the opposite corner for the open 3.
The 76ers exploited the Lakers weaknesses on defense or I should say Melo, over and over in this game. Niang screens for James and then immediately turns around to screen for Embiid too. Carmelo should've switched this much earlier in order for Joel to receive the ball up here. Instead he was way too slow now we have a rolling Embiid attacking the rim. And that’s unstoppable.
Marcus Smart and his sneakiness got Jayson Tatum an open three point look and that’s easy money for him.
As we slow it down, watch how Smart surveys the floor in transition. Sees that Tatum is trailing, and now he’s hunting for his defender. Finds him right here, and goes straight to him. Flicks the ball back to Jayson while bumping O’Neale and this is essentially a screen for the three…Bang.
The entire league knows and the Heat Check viewers know this Phoenix Suns play already, but they add a new twist to it and get another bucket.
As Shamet comes out here and Byombo goes to screen up top, the play is for Shammet to screen again for the roll man and open up the layup. But this time, it’s the opposite, as Shammet takes off to the three point line, and Byombo sets a pick for him as well.
From that point on it’s easy. The pass, the shot and the splash.
And finally we got this quick execution from the Charlotte Hornets against my New York Knicks last night.
It’s basically 2 slips, as Terry Rozier will first do it quickly before popping outside, and then Bridges sets the pick for just a moment, to bait the Knicks into thinking about switching, but then slips to the basket, Lamelo finds him on the outside with his left hand, Miles gets it in the paint and is able to finish.
As always let me know in the comments which one was your favorite. That’s it for now, subscribe and talk to you in the next one. Peace out.
