The Queen "Not Happy" About BBC Documentary: Are Harry and Meghan To Blame?

In this vlog I discuss the most recent news around the royal family and their disappointment with the BBC Documentary The Princes and The Press. I give my personal insights into this two-party documentary series and look a little deeper into the actions of the Royal circle to see how we got here and who is to blame for all the bad news that is surfacing around this news documentary.

This is the first of a two-part series for BBC Two, documenting the years in which the younger royals - The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and The Duke and Duchess of Sussex - have charted very different courses in their relationship with the media.

In over 80 hours of interviews, conducted over several months, Amol meets the journalists who were covering the story, then found themselves becoming part of it.

Episode one covers the years following the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the positive media reaction to the emergence of a new generation of royals. It charts the years leading up to and including the engagement and marriage of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Providing context for the Princes’ relationship with the media, the film examines some of the illegal activities engaged in by some newspapers in the late 1990s and early 2000s, including 'hacking' and 'blagging', and how these techniques were used to target members of the Royal Family and their associates.
