Kentucky FARM VLOG hunting land update, fall food plots, tractor work, trail cams & more!

09/11/2021. First and foremost we remember all of those fallen and taken from us 20 years ago on September 11th, 2001! Join us for a day in the field as we get to enjoy our freedom that has been hard fought by our Nation's Hero's over the last 200 years! In today's Kentucky farm vlog I'll haul some food plot planting equipment over to our Western Kentucky farm to help out the guys that leased our farm this year for Kentucky deer season. The guys will get things started by bush hogging the fall deer food plot sites with Megatron 2.0, the Branson tractor that I bought specifically for this farm to have on site for all kinds of land management projects such as this one. After they bush hog the food plot sites, they will spray them with some herbicide to get this party started! Then I will arrive on scene with my Polaris Sportsman 850, the home made chisel disc harrow and a cultipacker to get these food plots in the ground. Of course we will enjoy some fresh air and fun during this Kentucky hunting land project day! First I will tie on the home made chisel disc harrow and work up the food plots and push off much of the sod and weed chaff to clear some dirt for the seed to make soil contact and germinate in. Then we'll plant our 4 grain, cereal grain mix, aka 'Cereal Madness,' a custom blend created by my buddy Curtis Rogers, from Midwest farm and land co. I have used this blend for years now with amazing success. Then they will use my Polaris Sportsman 850 to fertilize the new plots, then apply the 'frostbite' blend of brassica's, radishes, turnips and more to top off the fantastic fall food plot blend! Stay tuned for future updates to see how these food plots turned out and hopefully we'll get some deer hunting video vlogs from the guys that are leasing so we can share in some of their adventures!
