Adding 4th culvert pipe for emergency spillway in the pond dam! Part 1 of 2, Bobcat e42 r2 series.

TOO MUCH WATER!! Join me as I return to my most recent pond build project, which is my biggest pond build yet to date. This is on one of my friends' Southern Illinois hunting land, and I will be using my Bobcat e42 r2 series mini excavator with the 2 foot digging bucket. When I built this pond a few weeks ago, we had no idea just how much water erosion and runoff we would be taking in to this pond, so I took an guesstimate on the water erosion and water volume and I added 3 culvert pipes to act as the pond emergency spillway. Well, after a heavy rain I went back to check on it, and not only was the new pond completely FULL after one heavy rain, but the 3 pond overflow pipes were running hard and causing water erosion damage to the pond dam beneath the 3 pond overflow pipes! So today I returned to try to improve the pond spillway/overflow situation by adding a 4th culvert pipe in the pond dam and then adding some scrap metal below the 4 pond pipes to reduce the future water erosion. Join me for Part 1 of 2 of this continuing mini series and see how things go! And be sure to stay tuned for PART 2 of this follow up to see the 4 pond overflow pipes in action and see if this whole water erosion idea works or not!
