After the success of the Night Edition last year and with high sales in 2021 (13.6% more from January to April over the same period in 2020), the Ram 2500 Laramie has just won the special edition Rodeo, which had all units purchased only 10 hours after the opening of sales. Due to this remarkable success of the model, the brand is already studying to bring another batch. Created exclusively for our market, the novelty exhibits style differentials and, mainly, several features focused on making the largest pickup truck in Brazil even more capable. "This launch takes place exactly on the week of the Rural Labor Day, May 25, and it is a tribute by the Ram brand to the men and women who drive the fastest growing sector in the country," says Breno Kamei, Ram's director for Latin America. South.

Initially limited to 100 specimens, the Ram 2500 Rodeo was thought out with great care to best serve those who transport heavy trailers, such as those carrying horses, for example. First of all, it is worth remembering that every New Ram 2500 sold in the country has the capacity to pull up to 7,861 kg, thanks to the power of the Cummins turbo diesel engine 6.7L of 365 hp and 110.7 kgfm and the security of the electronic oscillation controls trailer (TSC) and trailer brake, with panel adjustment.

But only Rodeo has a factory-prepared bucket for fifth wheel trailers, which practically turns it into a mechanical horse. To do so, the RamBox® side drawers leave the scene and five holes enter the floor of the cargo space, one of which is the central pin for hitching the “gooseneck” (goose neck). At the rear of the left side of the bucket is the 115 volt outlet and 4 and 7 pin outlets for powering the trailer.

In addition, the Ram 2500 Rodeo side stirrups are specific to it, longer, even covering the section between the rear door and the rear wheel, to facilitate access to the cargo area closest to the cabin. It is also important to note that there are protective caps for the holes in the bucket, which now has a volume of 1,628 liters - plus 402 compared to the “normal” Laramie - making it the largest among all double cabin pickups in Brazil.

In the extremely spacious and luxurious interior of Rodeo, the central front console has given way to an extra seat, increasing the capacity for six occupants. When not used, this backrest can be lowered, serving as an armrest, object holder and triple cup holder.

To accompany these features that amplify some of the truck's many attributes, the Ram 2500 Rodeo has unique design aspects. Starting with the redesigned and entirely chrome grille, which stands out for its seven horizontal friezes. Other extra touches of shiny silver from Rodeo are the front bumper hooks.

Just above the windshield, at the front of the hood, what stands out is the set of five amber LED lights, the so-called “cab lights”, which make the truck even easier to see. On the side, the 18 ”rim alloy wheels are also exclusive, but what really draws attention is the Rodeo emblem, inspired by the buckles delivered to rodeo champions, a sport supported by the Ram brand across the American continent, from North to South. By the way, each buyer of the 100 units of the 2500 Rodeo will win a metal buckle with the traditional Ram ram - see here the evolution of the brand symbol.

The Ram 2500 Rodeo is offered in three body colors: Walnut Brown (metallic), Pearl White and Diamond Black - these two are pearlescent. Inside, the coating is always in the elegant combination of brown and beige, an option that already represents more than half of the choices of the buyers of the Nova Ram 2500, since the end of 2019.
