Joe Biden's administration is reportedly divising a mechanism to monitor "extremist groups" online, according to a CNN report. The report says the DHS is exploring avenues to circumvent legal limits on their ability to monitor American citizens. The DHS are also reportedly soliciting outside private firms to assist them to this end. Mr. Watson, however, analyzes how the word "extremist" conveys a value judgment, rather than what it is meant to state - which is a simple standard of measurement. He explains how this distorted understanding of "extremism" is being used to actively violate rights and invalidate otherwise legitimate beliefs. He exhorts his listenership to investigate the meanings of words in the political lexicon and never take them for granted, regardless of how frequent their usage is.
