Henry the dog thinks he's a horse. He was nibbling at the grass with Banjo

It's so cute, I caught him trying to graze next to Banjo, but didn't catch the actually grazing on camera. It was different to dogs eating grass, it was like he was copying the horse! He is quite a character, he says hello to every horse individually many times a day. The horses usually ignore him, sometimes they sniff him. Occasionally the geldings will make a movement that threatens Henry and he is out of there like a shot.

He also goes a different route back to our home and always beats me there. He's hilarious!

This is bits and pieces put together. I had some missing bits that were filmed vertically and cut out bits where I'm yelling at the dog, to save your ears.

Henry adores the horses and tries to play with them. He doesn't chase them, but will run with them and is keen to get out of their way. This does worry my a bit and he is carefully supervised and he is desperate for play friends. So as with the cats, I have to teach him how to interact with these other species. The horses are very patient with him.

He loves playing with other dogs, but I think a second dog could be problematic at this stage, as I may lose the ground I've made with him in his training.

Currently the horses are roaming the full extent of our property, as we have fences down and they need to be fixed. They were running up and down the road before taking this video, a little unsettled, but settled down quickly. Henry was in no way involved in the running, as he was with me when they first started.

Henry is supervised and he does listen when I use my strict voice. Too often I call him in a high pitch voice without consequence and he ignores it, as I have never reinforced that and should really stop that. I use a deep guttural voice when I'm commanding him. I sound a bit like the character from the Exorcist. But he listens.

Some nice footage of the horses. Ruby kept following me around, dear heart. She reminds me of Tuppy...
I discuss their rain scald. I didn't treat them today, it rained most of the day. Might clear tomorrow afternoon.

We all have a pretty good life.

When I took this video I was thinking of King's Mom - she'll love it :)
