SpaceX will be conducting an estimated 10 km test flight of their Starship vehicle prototype SN11. This flight will be similar to the largely successful SN9-10 test flights in December 2020, but hopefully with little softer landing at the end.

SN11 will launch from Boca Chica, Texas with power of its three Raptor engines. The 3 Raptor engines will shut off in a one by one sequence during ascent to decrease loads and acceleration on the vehicle. When SN11 reached its apogee, a single Raptor engine will initiate a flip from vertical to horizontal postion before shutting off. SN11 will make use of its body flaps to keep it stable during descent. Just moments before landing, SN11 will ignite two Raptor engines to flip back into a vertical orientation and perform a soft landing similar to what we see with the SpaceX Falcon 9.
