"You Need To Leave The Property" Uneducated Tyr@nts Get Owned. Intim!dation Fail. Springfield Police

This was on Monday March 22nd 2021 at approximately 18:08, outside of the Springfield police headquarters in Springfield Massachusetts. I was on scene with press NH now and we were documenting how the Springfield police department was dealing with the restrictions and the reopenings. Almost instantly as we walked up to the front of the building from across the street we were being looked at as criminals and involved in suspicious activity. We were approached by an officer that said he was off duty just getting back from a detail. He soon realised that he could not handle both of us while he was alone so he called for backup.

A total of 5-7 other officers showed up on scene, Either driving by standing by in their car or getting out of their vehicle to try to surround us intimidate us. As soon as the supervisor showed up on scene lieutenant Randolph, The situation escalated very quickly.

This officer has been involved in an excessive force case which got him suspended 5 days without pay and he easily climbed the ladder to lieutenant afterwards. This is very sad because this lieutenant has no idea about our rights in the laws as he tried to trespass us in threaten us with arrest if we did not leave public property. He also claims that you need press credentials to be the press in that the 1st amendment does not cover people of the public exercising their freedom to press.
