Gibson VS Dean
In a pretty interesting court decision on May 27th, a Texas federal jury sided with Gibson Brands Inc over Dean Guitars over a court case that has been going since 2019. It is now official that Dean has infringed on the Copyright of Gibson with some of their guitar body styles and headstocks. The jury though only awarded $4,000 instead of the $7M Gibson was looking for, due to the “inexcusable” time lapse from when said infringement began.
