Man films viral video of tornado hitting him head on

But there is more to this story. This man's house was destroyed, and is being saved by a man whose life he saved the previous Summer.

ANDOVER, Kan. (KAKE) - Taylor Train watched as the Andover tornado went straight towards his house Friday evening. He was shooting video of it when he saw the storm pull his fence out of the ground.

At that moment he sprinted downstairs to try to shelter with his wife and kids. He got to the top step of the stairs before being blown back by the storm. Luckily, he wasn't injured. He describes those moments as, "Just complete chaos. It was just, you know hell on earth really, I mean, it was just unbelievable. The sounds, the just the feeling in your body."

He was able to get down bellow soon after. When he and his family got up from the basement, his house was standing, but only barely.

"We lost everything, but at the end of the day, you know, I have a wife and three boys there safe and sound, you know. I have a beautiful family and they're all here."

Train says as the days have gone forward, he and his family have found massive support from the Andover community. That support includes Brian Rawson. For him, helping the Trains is a way to pay Taylor back.

Rawson was out riding his bike back in June, when he collapsed from cardiac failure. Train just happened to be driving by, turned around and started preforming CPR on Rawson until EMS could arrive.

"He saved my life and, and not just my life, but the quality of my life. So I'm back working and teaching and if it hadn't been for Taylor Train, none of this would have been possible."

The two families have stayed close since then, so when Rawson heard about Train's house, he knew he had to do something. He started a GoFundMe page to try to help raise some funds. "The ability to, to let other people rally around him and his family, and pay back, just a little bit of for his kindness, and his willingness to help us has just been wonderful. I just feel very thankful."

For Taylor, the support and friendship have been an anchor in a very tough time. "Without Brian and everybody else, you know, willing to do their part, you know, this wouldn't be easy."

The friends saying that this moment is the perfect encapsulation on what being one kind act can mean for someone.

"It's the power of doing good, that has made this possible" said Rawson.

"it only takes a little bit of time out of your day to have such a big impact on somebody else's life" added Train.
