HOMEMADE RANCH DRESSING MIX!! HOLIDAY GIFTABLE!!

The time has come to really buckle down and choose how we are going to share the holiday spirit with family and friends from our hearts and from our kitchens! Today I am revisiting an old favorite and giving it a bit of a makeover! My homemade ranch dressing mix is my go to for all things ranch and other things! This is such a versatile mix to have on the pantry shelf, you really could consider it a seasoning with lots of possibilities. The bonus is that this is so easy to make and you may already have what you need to throw a batch together!

Six years ago I shared my version of a recipe for ranch dressing mix in my customary "big batch" style. But I know that not everyone needs a full quart or more of ranch dressing mix so I pared it back a bit, changed it up a bit and have come up with the perfect blend of homestyle ranch goodness that you are going to love. This makes a great dressing when adding to milk and buttermilk or sour cream or a delicious sour cream ranch dip that can be simple or complex with the addition of other flavors. You can use this to make a delicious holiday cheese ball or even everyone's favorite, slow cooker ranch chicken sandwiches! The possibilities are endless.

This starts with some non fat dry milk powder and then you add all the seasonings, herbs and spices to make this delicious blend that is fit for gifting! With the holidays upon us, may I recommend whipping up a batch or two and then making some delicious cheese balls and gifting both the cheeseball along with the ranch dressing mix as well as the recipes for both. Your neighbors and friends will be able to tuck your card into their own recipe box and share the delicious treats with their friends and family for years to come!

I know this seems super simple and it is, but in this time of really difficult times for so many people I think a trip back to simplicity is called for. Get back some of our heartfelt goodness by sharing goodness from our hearts. Ranch dressing is only one possibility. Because lots of people love it, this is definitely sure to please many on your list!
