NARRATIVE BY HENRY THE 83RD:
"On May 19th/2020 as I was driving to work. About mid-way there I got pulled over by Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) Sgt. DeLeonard. After running a yellow/red traffic light. I say yellow red because as I approached the light it was yellow but turned red within a second before I entered the intersection. I paid that ticket which is not the issue here. He claimed that I ran a red light I told him "If you believe I did then issue me a ticket, I need to go".
...
He wanted me to tell him which department I worked for, my P#, employer information, supervisor information and many other unwarranted questions. In an attempt to satisfy his damaged fragile ego he also decided to issue a discretionary ticket for failure to show proof of registration when he knew & was able to verify that the car is currently registered. Yes he can issue a ticket for not having it on hand, but he knew it will be thrown away in court since the car is/was current on insurance & registration. He was able to verify that through dispatch.

Now, why I chose to answer his other questions, the ones that are related to the traffic stop, was to simply avoid further delays and harassment. I just needed to get work. The officer failed to identify himself upon making contact with me and later lied in his report and in his complaint to my employer by claiming I refused to answer his questions. Well, I did answer all his questions. He may not have liked the answers but that is what you get when you asked questions that are of nosy type. Case laws are extremely clear whether I have an obligation to answer any questions at all, plus the US Constitution gives citizens protection to not say a word. How I exercised those rights and protections is totally up to me.

Ironically he made those complaints to my employer and stated that I did not share with him my supervisor's info. which I am not obligated to do since I was not conducting any official business (off duty) but when I contacted the LVMPD body worn cam division, Detective Same refused to answer the same exact question, which is who is the supervisor in charge to make a complaint about the LVMPD policy to over-redact my video. The difference is I was calling a place where officers ARE actually conducting official business. Det. Same not only refused to tell me simply the name of his supervisor but ultimately HUNG UP when I brought the irony of his actions.
...
I asked him to simply give me a ticket and let me be, but that would not have satisfied his ego as I said above, he wanted to go further and ensure I hear about his false claims at work as well. Unfortunately, he was somewhat successful. I paid $400 for the traffic citation but I am not upset about that. Dealing with my other issues is what's upsetting, but as the time goes, justice will prevail.
...
Like I said, this is just starting and multiple agencies are looking into his actions and will post an update when I start receiving new information and rulings."
