Wild dogs are known as one of the most successful predators in the animal kingdom, with a success rate of about 80%.
This video shows you why!

Mandy Teplin, 45, experienced this highly emotional scene in More mi, Botswana.

After sharing an opinion with Mandy's latest Sightings.com, he explained what happened:
"Our guide, Lets, from Ethnic Nature Safari Tours, was taking us out for the last morning drive of an incredible 4 night stay in Morimi.
We hurried out of our camp site and had already seen wild beasts, zebras, impalas, giraffes, jackals, saddle blood stars, watled cranes and 2 male lions.

"About 8 o'clock in the morning, we saw buffaloes in the distance and were playing like calves, so we decided to take a closer look. As we got closer, we saw a large herd of wild dogs. Incredibly interesting because we heard them. 2 nights ago but couldn't find them.

"Upon arrival, we saw a herd of buffalo separated, and in the middle the wild dogs were actually eating 2 buffaloes.
What happened next was a roller coaster of emotions and an absolute adrenaline rush ... "

"The rest of the buffalo started moving towards us to join the rest of the herd. In a separate second, Alpha the dog, I assume they went straight to the front of the herd, which startled the herd. The dogs reacted very quickly. Revealed and managed to carry 2 more calves in chaos. 4 more buffaloes and 1 calf were separated from the herd and the dogs did a short job of carrying this calf too.

"Overall, they had taken 5 calves and the buffaloes could do nothing about it. Although it was interesting to watch, it was very sad and extraordinarily horrible to watch. All the time. It was a bowel movement. Immediately after the death of the last calf, we left.

"I think it was seen once in a lifetime. We often go into the bush and never saw a comparison. Our guide grew up in the Delta and has been a guide for many years and even he and everyone else. The guides we talked to had never seen anything like it before.

"We didn't intend to go to More mi, but my husband and I decided to spoil ourselves for our 23rd birthday. We literally saw the safari car in Spar's car park while shopping and The next day we set off for More mi. It was an incredible experience.
If you have ever seen one in your life, be prepared to find out how effective these dogs are in hunting.
