Star Wars: The Old Republic is a large scale MMO game which takes place in the Star Wars galaxy hundreds of years before the movies. There are eight (8) playable professions evenly split among the Republic and Empire factions. For each profession, there is a ship which one obtains at some point in their personal story journey.

This series will take you on a tour of each of the star ships with some light commentary on each one.

As you would expect, all ships have a Captain's Chair where you can set the course for the planet you wish to travel to.
Most ships have a Dejarik table - a circular table with holographic pieces resembling chess with several chair surrounding said table.
Each ship comes with its own protocol droid - C2-N2 for Light Side players and 2V-R8 for Dark Side players. These droids are responsible for ship maintenance and the daily mundane requirements for their crew.
All ships have an engine room which is extremely clean and fairly accessible.
All ships have a storage area where a Cargo Hold, a Mailbox and a Guild Bank are accessible. A nice and necessary touch for a place the player could use as a base of operations.

The Bounty Hunter (Boba Fett types) use a D5 Mantis. This story is unique in that the player obtains it at the start of the game and the ship immediately gets stolen. Naturally, your first quest is to get your ship back.

This ship is really a novelty. This ship never saw mass production as almost every feature is uniquely designed. So seeing one is a rarity indeed and usually indicates a wealthy individual.

As you enter the ship, on the right side there is an individual encased in carbonite. But nowhere in the game is there a quest to find out who this person is or to deliver said person to collect a bounty. Such a lost opportunity.
There is also a holding cell on the ship. A necessity for any respectable bounty hunter. However, there is no quest which utilizes this piece of engineering. Another lost opportunity.
This ship has a two (2) person Medbay.
This ship can comfortably hold four (4) crew members in its crew quarter's section.
The Captain's Quarters have a small office for the Captain.
