In this episode, Professor Trahan walks viewers through an explanation & critique of Resolution 9: On Critical Race Theory & Intersectionality from the 2019 SBC Annual Meeting in Birmingham, AL. He also engages in a critique of those who have defended the Resolution as a good resolution, such as a well-known speaker and apologist Neil Shenvi. While Neil's works have been referenced in previous episodes (Linked below), nevertheless, professor Trahan departs from Neil on the benefits and utility that this resolution allegedly offers Southern Baptists.

I think this episode will be valuable for those who are unfamiliar with the controversy within the SBC. It will be valuable for those who do not know how to critique those who say they are against CRT, but supported Resolution 9. Also, it will be valuable to see how the "long-march-through-the-institutions" actually happens.

It is important to note that the SBC Seminary Presidents came together in late 2020 and made a statement saying that CRT/I is incompatible with the Christian worldview. This article can be found on Baptist Press.
