Hello, this is doctor ziggenpop…

I am currently the head of a team of researchers working for Nu systems.
Under my guidance, we have mapped out more of the backrooms, and poolrooms, than any other team in Nu systems history.
The achievement has not come without it’s cost though. We lost doctor Morrison yesterday.. The slime, that was previously benevolent, has turned on us. I can only presume someone on the team has done something to upset it. It was once very docile, and we were able to communicate with it, crudely, of course.

It’s too bad. I liked Doctor Morrison. She was the one that found a secret passageway by skydiving.
You see, apparently, if you fall for fifty thousand feet, you have the chance of passing through to an area containing a beach.
It was supposed to be quite nice.
And, it was, for awhile.
We all walked along the sand. Once we landed that is. The water landing was supposed to be the easy part. It was not… We lost a few members of the team.

Which is why it is so important you send in another group of people.
We walked on the beach until we saw a structure in the distance.
Inside we were not prepared for what we found.
Everything seemed too good to be true…
The team started to let their guard down. It was hard not to. The shadow people have become much more advanced in such a short amount of time…..
They tricked the members of the team. Many of them are not going to make it past tonight.
It’s very important to remember, there are no people in the backrooms. I repeat, . There are no people in the back rooms. At this point I would suggest you not treat them as such. As they act, irrationally. Some encounters will be quite pleasant. Others, . Well,. Other encounters turn out quite disastrous.

The shadow people morph. One moment they are almost as flesh as you or I. The next moment they are smoke and dust. One moment they are here, and the next moment they are over there you see. .. They are here.. They are a young, attractive girl.. The next moment they are not. They are, something else.
Sometimes I think I might be controlling their form. The body I see before me, I cannot tell if I see the shape, and then know what it is? Or rather, do I know what it should be, and then it takes shape. I could have sworn I saw Doctor Strange and Spider man, as well as wonder woman, batman, and others.

On another note, I am not so sure eating from the vending machines was a good idea. The almond milk is probably not made from almonds… And I am starting to question the origin of the vending machine items. The shadow people motion to me, and tell me the food is fine. I don’t know why I am trusting them with something like the food I am eating here. I can not think of a reason, not one, why. I feel hungry right now, in fact. I can’t help it.
