Jot Dean ice cave - Medicine Lake Highlands Volcanic Area - Scenic Mt Shasta

Short walk in and around Jot Dean ice cave in Medicine Lake Highlands Volcanic Area, east of Mt Shasta, California. Although not more than a rather shallow depression on the lava flow landscape this cave is considerably colder than the outside area such that ice formations which form during the winter persist through the summer.
