Big time money saver right here! Join me and my buddy Phil, who has been a welder and electrician his whole life, as we team up to fabricate a skid steer quick attach for our new Bobcat T650 skid steer (CTL), to adapt the tractor 3 point hitch tree spade that we have owned for years so that we can now use it with the skid steer in addition to the tractor. The Bobcat T650 CTL is really a much better machine for a tree spade for numerous reasons, but it is not really usable with a tractor 3 point tree spade setup... UNTIL TODAY!!! Today, we fabricated an adapter so that we can now use the Tree spade with the new Bobcat T650 CTL! Join us as we'll take you through the process of this project, which will save us big bucks in the long run! After this step, the last thing to do is get some hydraulic hose adapters and then it should be ready to start spading some trees very soon! We use the tree spade for advanced land management and wildlife habitat improvement to move trees to strategic areas that we want to create cover, or create boundary sight disruptions along property lines, or to surround food plots with new sight cover so that deer feel more relaxed by blocking out views around the food plots.
