Early US Monkeypox Demographics

Demographics of US Monkeypox cases are:
37% White, 31% Hispanic, 27% Black, and 4% Asian

Demographics of the US in 2020:
57.8% White, 18.7% Hispanic, 12.1% Black, and 5.9% Asian

Representation in Monkeypox cases:
64.01% White, 171.1% Hispanic, 223.1% Black, and 67.8% Asian

This means blacks and hispanics are overrepresented in Monkeypox cases, likely because these groups are mostly localized in dense urban centers where network effects mean diseases spread well, latinos also disproportionately identify as "LGBT", more than any other ethnic group in the US.

This is based on early data from a technical report the CDC will be releasing soon and the 2020 US Census data.
