Now All Of A Sudden THIS Is The Brooklyn Nets Situation

Last night Kyrie put on a show in New Jersey, and despite all the drama surrounding him and the Nets, he looked like he had a great time playing basketball.
Thing is, that may just be because all the smoke is clearing up and Brooklyn could have both Kyrie and KD on the roster to start the season.
Are the Nets running it back? Some of the reports suggest exactly that. What up everybody, my name is Stefan and this is Heat Check. Let’s get into it.
First of all the latest news comes from Ian Begley who said that Kyrie is in a good place and comfortable with the Nets.
This goes in line with previous reports that Kyrie Irving becoming a Laker is more of a Lakers desire rather than Irving’s.
Kyrie also has the support of the Nets owner Joe Tsai.
There was this video where streetball legends were asked who in today’s NBA could survive on the playgrounds in New York City. And a lot of them said….
So Joe Tsai retweeted that in support of his point guard.
Begley also said that a deal for Durant is unlikely to happen. And realistically it shouldn’t.
Nobody in the league is willing to give the Nets a package that is worth trading for. Especially after the Timberwolves gave away 5 first round draft picks along with some nice role pieces.
This completely jacked up the price of what Brooklyn could be asking for KD and as we all can see- nobody can come close to it.
Durant, who previously asked for a trade, will meet or maybe has already met with the owner to discuss the trade request, but this could as well be burying the hatchet and potentially figuring out a way to make it work with this team.
Speaking of that, here’s how the roster looks.
Assuming that Ben Simmons plays and Joe Harris comes back healthy, they also brought in Royce O’Neal for some 3 and D as well as T.J. Warren who we’ll need to see how he looks, but I feel like this is the best roster that Durant could be on.
Teams like Boston, Phoenix or whoever else, would have to give away so much, that by the time he gets there, there’s not going to be much left for him to compete with.
So the best thing he could do is at least give it a shot and start the season out in Brooklyn instead of for example doing what Simmons did in Philadelphia and making the problem much bigger.
After all, there isn’t an issue of players disliking each other on the Nets. In fact, both Royce O’Neal and Kessler Edwards came out to watch Irving last night in New Jersey.
They exchanged some friendly words, took a pic- all of that.
Also, someone was sent from the team to document the whole thing and post on their instagram account. To me this doesn’t look like a dysfunctional or unsalvageable situation, and despite KD’s trade request, things could be turned around in a major way.
Just remember that Kobe Bryant did the same thing back in 07. The Lakers declined, traded for Pau Gasol and the rest is history.
So while a lot depends on that meeting between Durant and Tsai, there’s a big possibility that we’ll see the same team back in Kyrie’s last year of the contract for the last dance.
That was a nice and poetic ending I gotta say. Let me know what you expect. Will they be back to start the season, or do we finally see the trades happening. That’s it for now, subscribe and talk to you in the next one. Peace out.
