Zino Platinum Review: https://www.cigarscore.com/cigar-review-zino-platinum-scepter-grand-master-robusto/

According to the documentation I received from LCC, this Byron 20th Century Habaneros, after aging on a shelf for seven years, was first released for sale in 2018. However, for some reason, this batch of cigars never sold, and was later purchased by LCC for their club. Therefore, a cigar this old should be quite delicious.

After taking the cigar out of the cellophane, I gave it a sniff and the undisclosed wrapper smelled of grass and a little bit of lemon and honey. On the cold draw, I tasted graham crackers and sawdust with hints of cedar, an interesting flavor combination to be sure.

Lighting the cigar, the aroma was wonderful. The draw was just a little tight, and I could taste hints of caramel.

Through the middle of the Byron 20th Century Habaneros, the flavors were incredibly smooth. The flavors were of graham crackers and just hints of honey. There is almost no bite to the cigar, but on the retro-hale you do get some spice. I also tasted some lemon, citrus, wheat, dried grass, and honey.

In the final third, I also tasted some cream and vanilla that made me think about vanilla lattes.

Final Thoughts

While the Byron 20th Century Habaneros wasn't perfect, it was pretty dang good. Had the secondary label not had excessive glue that stuck to (and then tore) the wrapper leaf, the cigar would've been practically perfect. However, for $33, this cigar should have been flawless.

Because of the higher price of this cigar, I'm going to judge it harshly. Had we not had the slight construction issue, this cigar would've earned our highest rating. The Byron 20th Century Habaneros earns a CigarScore 4.
