Angus MacAskill (1825 – 8 August 1863) was a Scottish-born Canadian giant. In its 1981 edition the Guinness Book of World Records stated he was the strongest man who ever lived, tallest non-pathological giant in recorded history, largest true giant to ever have lived, and the man with the largest chest measurements of any non-obese man. He was said to have completed feats such as lifting a ship's anchor that weighed 2,800 lb (1,300 kg) to his chest. At 7 feet 9 inches (2.36 m)[1] he could hold over 250 pounds, with only three fingers.
