Illinois Deer watering hole update, Excavator work, refill! 08-14-19 Kapper Outdoors

Join me for some fresh air and shade in the woods on our Illinois homestead, (also hunting land) as we continue on this deep woods deer watering hole saga. This is the watering hole that I recently dug with my Bobcat E42 mini excavator and filled several times. Not only is this typical land management ups and downs but it also represents real estate investing or homesteading... Two steps forward and one step back, and not always in that order! Well, after finding a 'pond seep' (aka 'small leak') I decided not to give up on this one and take the bobcat excavator back out to the secret spot and re work the small pond dam by adding more dirt (and rocks and roots) and compacting it down with the excavator the best that I could. Then I turned on the Pond dam watering pipe full blast to refill the new watering hole and see how it holds! Join me for some excavator work and a days adventure and leave the city for some fresh air! Don't forget to Like and subscribe to follow all of our land management projects, excavator projects, food plots, duck ponds, watering holes, tractor projects, our New Kentucky farm and farmhouse rehab and more country living adventures. Thank you. Kapper Outdoors, living the dream, one acre at a time.
