Chicago Bears Rumors On Justin Fields-Patrick Mahomes Comp. + Teven Jenkins Trade?

- ESPN NFL Analyst & former WR Keyshawn Johnson compared Bears’ QB Justin Fields to Chiefs’ QB Patrick Mahomes this morning. Johnson pointed to Fields' mobility and arm strength and said it looks like Mahomes when he makes those types of plays. The national media has been killing Fields and the Bears throughout the NFL Offseason and now they are comparing him to Mahomes?! Harrison Graham pumps the brakes on today’s video.
- Ian Rapoport brought back Teven Jenkins trade rumors today as the NFL Network insider reports that the Bears “have engaged” in NFL trade talks around Jenkins, but nothing has materialized yet. Harrison believes Rapsheet is reporting old information and Bears reporter Adam Jahns of The Athletic says that considering Jenkins has started at right guard for the past 2 weeks, a Bears trade makes no sense. Jahns does report that Chicago has been inquiring about offensive line help.
- Bears’ WR Darnell Mooney believes Justin Fields will be motivated in Week 1 against the 49ers to go up against fellow 2nd-year QB Trey Lance a year after San Francisco drafted Lance over him. Mooney said “he's going to prove everything that everybody doubted him on – especially Week 1.” To add to the Bears vs. 49ers storyline, Jimmy Garoppolo is staying with the Niners on a restructured contract to backup Lance.
