1. Get some rest
The first thing you should do if you feel sick is get some rest. If you’re feeling nauseous, dizzy, or have any other symptoms of sickness, take it easy until you feel better. You don’t want to aggravate your condition by trying to work out when you’re not well.
2. Drink plenty of water
Drinking lots of water helps flush toxins from your body and keeps you hydrated. Make sure you drink at least eight glasses of water per day.
3. Eat healthy foods
Eating nutritious food will help keep your immune system strong and give you the energy you need to fight off illness. Try to eat foods high in vitamin C, zinc, B-complex vitamins, and protein.
4. Stay warm
If you’re feeling cold, wear layers of clothing. Cover yourself with blankets or hot water bottles.
5. Take care of yourself
Try to avoid getting stressed out and stay calm. When you’re under pressure, your body releases hormones that make you feel worse.
6. Don’t smoke
Smoking cigarettes while you’re sick could cause you to feel even worse. Instead, try eating something sweet or drinking herbal tea.
7. Avoid alcohol
Alcohol can dehydrate you and make you feel tired. If you’ve been drinking alcohol, cut back on how much you consume.
