The Bible tells us to Carry YOUR Cross and Follow Jesus!!
I hear Christians say all the time that bearing one's cross (or carrying YOUR own Cross) means to deal with some kind of life problem or it means that people have to carry some burden in their lives. A few examples are things like a strained relationship, a thankless or a dead end job, some kind of physical illness, etc. For most "Christians" it's just self pitying pride!
They say things like, "ohh well it's just my cross to carry", and what they mean by that is it's my burden to bear, but is that what Jesus meant when he said take up YOUR Cross and follow me?
