The ambassador to the UN reads out loud a text message that a Russian soldier is said to have sent to his mother right before he was killed.
During an emergency meeting of the UN General Assembly, the hurtful texts that a Russian soldier sent to his mother were read out loud. The man's texts showed that he was "afraid" and didn't know what was going on in Ukraine. Ukraine's UN representative showed a sad text conversation between a Russian soldier and his mother right before he was killed.
Kyslytsya read the soldier's letter to his mother out loud at a speech before an emergency meeting of the UN General Assembly to talk about Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Monday, Mr. Kyslytsya spoke to the group and told them, "I'd like to look at a screenshot from the phone of a Russian soldier who has died. Then, before starting to read the back-and-forth, Mr. Kyslytsya held up a printed copy of the exchange of text messages and said, "That's a real screenshot from someone who is already dead."
"How do you feel? According to Mr. Kyslytsya, the mother asked her son right before he died in battle, "Why has it been so long since you answered?" Are you really training? The boy said, "Mama, I'm no longer in Crimea." I don't take part in any training.
