UKRAINE'S DEAD CITIES Russian attacks continue in the cities of Severodonetsk and Lysychansk in the Luhansk region of eastern Ukraine, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy. Severodonetsk and Lysychansk are now dead cities as a result of intense Russian shelling, Zelensky claimed. Zelenskiy informed reporters that Severodonetsk and Lysychansk were still under their control despite ongoing fierce battles.
Serhiy Haidai, the governor of Luhansk, claimed "The Russian attacks also targeted markets and educational institutions. In Lysychansk, many individuals sustained injuries." According to BBC reporter Joe Inwood, who was reporting from Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, Russia launched significant attacks on both banks of the Donets River in Severodonetsk and Lysychansk.
