IBD Clinical Remission | What I Ate to Recover From Ulcerative Colitis
Here is colonoscopy proof that I have achieved complete remission from UC. In this video and previous videos, I have used the word healed interchangeably with remission. I believe that healed, defined as becoming sound or healthy again by the Oxford dictionary, more accurately captures my long term state of health than the standard meaning of remission as applied to IBD. However, I’ve moved towards using the term complete remission in an effort to not misrepresent healed as the equivalent of cured. Since achieving complete remission, I've been able "to consume a full range of foods without bleeding, mucus, urgency, or diarrhea; to have well-formed solid bowel movements; and to be on no medication." Watch as I show and explain the nutritional concepts and principles that I used to achieve and maintain complete remission from IBD.
